Glad to see the Daily Show honored Yuval with double the segment time to discuss his ideas from the book, despite it being it a children's book about mature content.
Replace the word "humans" in this discussion with "men", and then we'll be approaching some historical accuracy. Other than not giving credit where it's due, I enjoyed that.

This is how we teach history. I always relate my lessons to the modern age, and my students end up being very interested. I’ll grab this book for my nieces and nephews!

I wish Ronny would have taken this interview more serious. Yuval seems to have a great mind that both young people and adults should learn from. His words and message are inspirational.
So…how do they explain NDEs and the documented reincarnations? I get the stance of atheists but I can't just disregard so many people with so many stories that are so similar.
Excellent interview! Fun, yet covered a lot of meaningful and even inspiring ground. I appreciated Ronny's pushing to see if there are some developments that are just bad (as Yuval described it, overall increases human suffering). Please have them both back!

fantastic interview and humour is most needed when serious topics are tackled. I reckon we live in a society that hasn't seem much evolution. If you compare the roman games purpose to current social media, politics and levelling down of human beings not much as changed in 2000 years….

Nothing like the intellect of Yuval to make an interviewer look inadequate and stumbling from one question to another.
I admire the persistence to try to get Yuval to mention something he 'hated' or disliked about society, and the acumen Ronny had to explain Yuvals position of professional quasi-unbias as an anthropologics based philosopher, so to then drill down into that multiple times. Very rare skills on a comedy show and extremely well appreciated.

Did not like Ronnie here. He is like the MAGA crowd; wanting things to be black or white. The world is gray.
You could sense Harari's frustration. Harari's message appears to be "embrace the gray. It is the only world we have."
Harari takes the same act wherever he can. He is interesting the first time you hear it, but it is tiresome after a few shows.
I mean, I understand what he's saying but I'll push back on the Feminism part because the Suffragettes 100% assassinated people. That being said it's not the story commonly attributed so maybe his point still stands, but I am slightly confused by it.

Writers, some of the other pieces lately.. some great.. and some you know for sure are embarrassingly poor quality. This makes up for a whole bunch of misses. 10/10
Children are not dumb adults sir ! Most of the world today is because that misconception of abuse and power over vulnerable physically small children that does not mean children don’t understand better than you .!

I disagree with him on the positive pov on feminism- it wasn’t devoid of violence. Yes not to the extent of war but lots of women sacrificed their lives and were burned on the stake as witches and were forced into child marriages, forced to die after their spouses (Sati)… there was violence suffered by those before us; just not a war.
