5. I guess this was fairish bit you had an absolute amateur driver in both cars. Should have had Randy Pobst drive both. You’d see a much larger difference in lap times. The Porsche would be 2-3 seconds faster that Tesla which flatters novice drivers. No was a car with more power thousands of pounds less and more aero is only a few tenths faster.

8. before watching – just going to point out that hydrogen fuel cell cars could have the capability of the BEV with the weight of the ICE car, it's just right now that you will need to write a massive check to get that capability.

10. The tesla is a great value but its still not ment to do track days vs that porche was built to do track days. Not every track person is gonna have acess to carbon fiber doors and stuff and all the tech that goes into that tesla isnt friendly to modify.

11. A custom-built EV race car SHOULD be very fast, so it's a confirmation of this, not much more. Sure it's an EV, but it's modded like crazy – and who knows what the mods would cost if you paid someone to do it.
    If it's on racing slicks then the comparison is even less meaningful as the P-car would've also been 2s faster if it were on them.

In the beggining of the video they say that a car like that needs bigger brakes but one thing that blew me away driving a Model3 hard with the regen brakes on was that after alot of hard driving i touched the wheels and they were completely cold, i think any of us know after driving hard with our friends the brakes get hot. I turned off regen braking and right away the wheels got so hot. So the regen is like having a big brake kit on steroids, also everyone forgets that the way the center of gravity is on teslas its actualy like youre driving a miata, a heavy one. And lets not forget the instant acceleration. But fanboys will hate them just because they make no sound lol makes perfect sense to hate on a car that does what performance gasoline cars do. I think if you really are a car guy, you would accept the performance that teslas offer.

15. na im sorry but i still dont like electric cars they can make them faster and more powerfull but that wont change anything its still lame, you will never see me driving an EV, they can try and mandate it or push out internal combustion engines but that wont stick the EV platform is far too impractical to be functional on a national scale

17. Teslas are just so plan jane and boring inside and out. The model 3 looks like a fat egg with outdated ugly headlights. It legit looks like a mall cop car with its shape and design😂 its interior is just as dull and boring as it's exterior. A single iPad and bulky steering wheel? BMW/Porsche/Merc gives u luxury seats or carbon fiber bucket seats for sports cars, HUD, FSD+Auto Parking, crystal scroll wheels and buttons that feel good to click, sporty slim steering wheel that has good quality, etc.. teslas are cheap for a reason they cut corners on alot of shit and they are depreciating at an historic rate. Bad quality,alot of plastic,no HUD,no 360 cam, no ventailed seats or ambient lighting, no carbon fiber,etc.. They accelerate fast but look like basic traffic 😂 I rather have a cool looking car with luxury. German cars a real aggresive and mean looking sports cars with a head turning engine.

24. We're proud to have some MPP parts on this car, such as the MoTeC dash logger. Glad to see modified Teslas getting some more mainstream coverage. Educate the children Donut! There's more to life than LS's. Although LS's are glorious no doubt.

25. I bought one a year ago and Sold my C6 Z06 Track car for this.
    Love it. I auto-crossed it at the SCCA Pro Solo a week after I bought it and was 4th fastest on test day after I set it to 60-40 on Track mode.

27. On the tesla, was the Re-Gen braking on and helping? I kinda like the new tech, but still love my muscle cars and M3. Im a novice road racer. With the acceleration of the tesla and Re-Gen braking, it has to be a great track car. Biggest question is the battery temps… but honestly, 20 min of track session on any car to much.
