  1. I was playing a spellslinger deck against someone who was running an abnormally high number of counter spells. I just kept playing spells. They got to run out of counterspells eventually, and a number of my cards could still stuff in the graveyard thanks to flashbacks, and catching the off guard with geistblast second effect was always funny. Admittedly, that particular game my deck was on fire, but I would have approached it the same way regardless. Waiting for a 'safe' opening is all well and good, but sometimes you have to call their bluff.

  2. My set of sleeves like that potato chipped so hard over time I felt it might be damaging my deck, the non glossy matte held up alright tho, the glossy versions took massive damage in a short amount of time, I wish someone made a sleeve that could hangout at the top of the market with you know who, hmm maybe someday

  3. Fuckin love your content man.

But if you could stop referring to casual magic players as a Timmy, that would be really great. A Timmy is a Magic player profile name, and not a general term referring to uneducated players. You mean little Billy. But Rudy from Alpha investments started saying Timmy every chance he got, and now everyone uses that word wrong in Magic context.

    Enjoy the con!!!

  4. I get that bowmasters is very strong, but does it really even work well with either massacre girl?

Old massacre girl you need 7 mana to play both

New girl you need 6, but you never draw cards off of the massacre girl triggers, are the -1 counters really all that worth it with no draw from it?
