  1. I know, it's WG, but WHY would they want to "fix" the ability of CVs to snipe each other? Fixing meaning to try to minimize it to a great extent. What was the priority of carrier-based aircraft whenever scouts identified an enemy fleet? Find their CVs and attack them, try to knock them out ASAP. I get it, I'm preaching to the choir here. It's already a pretty tall order to attack a CV with aircraft what with their fairly murderous AA and fighters/interceptors as well. And yeah, I played a little CV last night myself and really couldn't tell the difference, so what did they actually do?

  2. "Cross-drop" was a common WW2 torpedo plane tactic. Two attacking groups splitting up and converging on the bows of a target ship, ideally about 90-120 degrees apart, and dropping a line-abreast pattern of torpedoes. That way, if the ship turned into one pattern to "comb the wakes" and thread between them, they'd be roughly broadside to the opposing pattern, and if they continued straight, they'd get hit along both sides.
In the US it's known as "anvil" attacks, not sure if the Royal Navy air arm had a term for it or what that might have been.

  3. I wouldn’t mind CVs if they made a few changes. Fires should burn for a minute and you shouldn’t be able to launch aircraft if your deck is on fire. Also, getting within shooting range Of a BB should basically be instant death, I’d like to see plunging fire damage the flight deck as well. And they shouldn’t have so many planes, or make ship AA MUCH better. Just some thoughts.

  4. Izmail used DC correctly, at least based on available info. By the time it ran out of charges, it was on 5k health, it would have been dead by that point if it had let early fires burn full duration.

  5. ok-ok, many mentioned this already before me, I know I'm late to the party. "the only thing he has not yet spotted is the submarine" says our beloved youtuber. Me looking at the flags: 12 spotted. Hang on, how many members are there on a fully manned random round? isn't it 12?

  6. I am about surprised and not surprised that no one use Interceptor Commander skill on Support Carrier, because Support CVs has better fighters. Despite I hate CVs, I use Essex lines ruining CVs day tbh. Deploy interceptor aircraft and shot the squadrons down. It’s funny seeing salty enemy CVs complain about me doing Sky Cleaning. That’s how you use CV, is it not?

  7. He was flooding on that first damage control. I get why you might hold off in case you get set on fire, but flooding also limits mobility. Damge controling that gives you more mobility and even if you end up burning longer, if it lets you dodge a few more shells or even an entire salvo of shots from the BB behind you it makes more sense to opt for the possible burning.

  8. I swear I heard crackhead instead of kraken.
Actually the bombers and rocket planes on the Yorktown line are worse than russian planes, they have a time cooldown between cycles so it doesnt matter if you shoot any of them down

Theseus and his team held on to hope, firm in the knowledge that the capacity of humans to be stupid is infinite. The enemy didn't disappoint.
It's understandable though, aircraft carriers make hiding difficult.
As for you Paul, keep doing what you're doing. Thousands of Salt Miners stand with you.

  10. G'damn Jingles, get your act together with ship class identification. He'd spotted the SUB early game. Its the CV he hasn't spotted yet you noob.

Ah f. me , where did that outburst come from?
What? Another 2 yours saltmine duty, Yes overlord, will do, master.

  11. Actually Jingles, you gave there the easiest solution to the spotting problem. Add a squadron of spotting aircraft to the CV. Maybe even let them have an ability to keep an area spotted without the possibility of attacking and nerve the spotting ability of the attacking squadrons

  12. Still don't get why they don't change carrier aircraft spotting to minimap only. Then they still fulfil the recon role without providing targeting information. But, WeeGee gonna WeeGee, I guess.
