  1. The world of Aeternum is one of the game's 2 strengths, the other being combat. It's massive, gorgeous and a joy to explore. Can't wait to do it all again

  2. NW has the best combat of any mmo I've ever played hands down. It's difficult to even get interested in playing other mmo's due to this. I re-installed the game again yesterday to do a no trading post play-through and that aspect of the game stands out as a shining beacon of hope. I grew up playing Runescape as my first mmo and New World does a great job in that vein.

Sadly the West server I started a new toon on is completely dead. The game has such potential, I hope the dev team figures out how to sustain a solid mmo player base and develop end game content along with progression systems that respect players time and feel worthwhile to grind. Other than playing the game for a short amount of time as a adventure rpg game and dropping it, the only reason to play currently that I have is to War in the 50v50 pvp mode. The rest of the game feels left for dead by the dev team sadly.

Hopefully this time with the influx of revenue from console release AGS actually invests into their game and grows the size massively of their dev team to support mmo growth, but without a montly subscription fee that's very unlikely. New World will likely at best see annual or every other year updates to sell a new DLC/Zone update like we saw from ROTAE, but not much else. We haven't seen a significant combat balance patch for the past year. That's rough. It feels like every dev asset has been moved off New World development to other projects, other than very specific few that remain to do some light marketing, and the code updates to shift the game compatibility for console release.

  3. Alright New World Community, now is our chance to rise up and become a stronger community! We have the privilege to be born anew amongst a new world of console players! Let us take this second wind in Aeternum and prosper! ❤
