  1. I love my corelle dishes. One bowl shattered when it fell from the counter. Many tiny thin pieces. I think you need to take the shatter/ chip proof off of advertising because this is false advertising

  2. I am from Ithaca and have family that live in Corning. Great place to be from. Cornell University up the hill from our house. Corning has been part of our family kitchens for many years.

  3. We've used white Corelle for more than 30 years, and it is quite satisfactory. The edges of the plates tend to get a little worn and sometimes there is a bit of rust stain on the edges. One thing that could be misleading about the video: it is true that Corelle resists breakage very well, but, when it does break, it's not just two big pieces. It explodes, with knife-sharp pieces of all sizes, mostly little, all over the counters and floors. In 30 years, that's happened only maybe six or seven times, so it's not that big of a deal, but it is different from how it is represented on the video.

  4. It was mentioned by an employee that there are 9 raw ingredients that go into making corelle dinnerware but what are they?

  9. about the breaking . the use of a punch put an incredible pressure on one point, so it is very easy to break that plate . i am watching this video because i just broke TWO corelle bowls at once, that just fell from a cupboard about 5 ft up . a whole stack fell and i have glass shards spread all over the kitchen . so dont mention to me about breakage resistance .

  10. Corelle is good till you get a dish that shattered. I have written company 10 times and no response. I have called and there is no way to reach them. The only thing they did was use my email to send sale flyers. Buyer beware.

  11. I have been trying to reach corelle for months about a serving platter with no response. The platter was defective. Think twice about buying no response to 8 emails. When you call customer service you get a msg saying call during business hours no matter what time you call. Never will I purchase their product again.

  16. I  worked  in the  pressware   plant   when   Corning   owned it   for   12   years ,  My   dad   was   a   hub   operator   there  for  30  years.  I   worked   in   the   melting   and   quality  control   departments.  Corelle   is   the   best   you  can   by  for  dinnerware. My   dad   and   I  worked around   the   clock   shifts   many   times   when   people   were   sleeping   to   produce  this   amazing   product.  I   am   proud   to   say   to   people   that  I   MADE   CORELLE>

  17. Sadly since world kitchen bought corelle the quality has gone down the drain. Corning used to build them properly, not sure what world kitchen changed but they're pretty pants mow

  18. Corelle needs to make batter bowls, covered storage bowls, etc. out of Corelle. I hate plastic; it doesn't hold up over time; it doesn't dry in the dishwasher. Glass is too heavy. Stainless steel and melamine are not microwave safe. Please make mixing bowls and a lot of storage bowls with covers out of Corelle. PLEASE! Love my Corelle dinner wear. Stores great in cabinets more dishes in less space. Fits in dishwasher better. LOVE IT!

  19. After watching my square round stoneware set die one by one, I decided to get a set of Corelle, Cherish pattern. Like other people, I'm not happy about the fact that the mugs are made in China, but the dishes and bowls are gorgeous and NOT HEAVY! I also wish that they made more serve pieces for the pattern. This will be my everyday and formal set. I'm done with getting plates that break when you look at them! Corelle isn't break proof, but it stands up despite its delicate looks.

  20. Corelle is awesome. I have a huge set of Crazy Daisy (Spring Blossom) from the '70s that I eat on every day. I wish Corelle today didn't use stoneware mugs though and also made more items like they used to (like rimmed pasta bowls, large serving bowls, etc.).
