I don't need another game this year as they are working hard on Wilds BUT! A stories 3 before Wilds would be cool.
I think it’s crazy that just the devs making one singular post resulted in probably at least half a million players starting to play angain. Because Pc is probably the smallest amount of players but the only ones that we can see in numbers. That can only be achieved with a loyal and loving community and developers that show how they care about us and the game and I love that.

I've been wanting to get back into World for some time now, especially since I skipped the DLC so this event has just made me want to get back to it even more.
The best way to celebrate MH 20th would be the re-release of the abandonwares of the franchise. Sure a titanic effort, but one they have to make.
I've had a blast with the return to World, and I've been using it as an opportunity to master a new weapon. So even as simply an excuse to replay the game, I've been totally happy with it.
I was talking to a friend, and we bounced the idea around that the 20th anniversary announcements would actually be something World related. From a technical aspect it doesn't make a lot of sense because the game uses a different engine and they probably don't want spend too many dev hours that could go into Wilds development, so I doubt we'd see an expansion or a title update with new monsters. However, I could absolutely see them doing some kind of new event, or possibly some new quests to mix things up.
But all that said, even if the return simply is what it is, I'm more than happy to spend a few hundred hours playing through one of my all time favorite games again, and it's fun to see it getting a surge of YouTube content again.
i suspect the top 3 monsters will make a special quests in MHW as extra special 20th anniversary content
Just got my first fatalis kill today. Been tying to kill him since he came out. His fight is something alright. Now time to do the arch tempered monsters. Hopefully they don’t take me years to kill lol

Really am enjoying getting to play through monster hunter world with friends who haven't played it before. I like the return to world campaign and would love to see maybe some new updates that end up tying into wilds maybe a new monster (this could be a returning monster) gets added. That we fight but then flees and we get word that it has fled to a new unexplored region and the guild is going to send out a new fleet to research this new land. Setting up where we start in wilds as our new hunter.
At how popular MHW is right now. I would not be surprised if Capcom and additional events or content to it.
