  1. I think for me, what I'd always save for, are probably the pins. I got quite a few on my Disney cruise to Alaska 5 years ago, I didn't trade, though, as I never knew how it worked. Now they hang on my wall on the lanyard I got on the Wonder! Snack wise, a cinnamon roll at Gaston's Tavern.

  2. My favorite splurge, especially as an often-solo traveler, is Memory Maker. It's so wonderful to have some photos that aren't selfies! And the PhotoPass Photographers are always so wonderful. Particularly if you find the ones in off-beat places with no lines, they will often get really creative and help you make some really magic memories.

  3. My tip to avoid paying for water is to get a cheap reusable water bottle with a wide opening at walmart or target or wherever, and then instead of filling it with water, fill it as much as you can with ice. Quick service restaurants in the resort hotels have ice machines that you can use for free and QS restaurants in the parks will give you a cup of ice. Once you've filled it up as far as it will go, then you can fill it with water, and the florida heat will most likely melt the ice quickly, but you can just keep filling it with ice as you need it and have cold water all day. Florida water doesn't taste the best, so we get the little squeazy flavorings and put a few drops in as needed. We stayed nice and hydrated on our last trip and it cost us 10 bucks for a disney-themed water bottle at walmart and then about 5 bucks for a few bottles of the flavor drops. $15 bucks for 2 weeks in Disney. And we could have gotten a cheaper water bottle anywhere before going to save money if we had wanted to.

  4. Animal Kingdom news: they stopped serving Frozen Chai! Despite it still being on the menu on the WDW app, the employee said they stopped serving it. I’m heartbroken!

  5. On our first trip my daughter was 4, I found some Disney dolls on Marketplace and at garage sales and picked them up/packed them in secret! Then I’d have my husband take her out of the room for our park day while I went last and snuck the dolls out onto the bed! When we got back I told her Fairy Godmother (who coincidentally we met that day!) must have sent them over! One doll was Fairy Godmother and one was Prince Charming so it was super cute!!

  6. When at Disney I live off of 2 main questions: 1. Are you going to be happy? 2. Are you going to actually use it? – I usually ignore #2 and get it anyway because when in the Disney bubble Mickey is paying and hakuna matata I have no worries(I purchase gift cards the whole year before and put them on my room at the front desk when I arrive so when I tap my magicband in the parks it just charges the gift cards)

  7. I don't know why but the thought of having your child's first haircut at WDW brought tears to my eyes. What a great experience for the parents, and a great Show and Tell for the child when they get to school.

  8. I’m celebrating my 60th Bday with a Disney Trip Feb 2025, going solo! First time in my life, among 100s of Disney day trips, weekend trips, week long property vacations, this time just me! And from my first visit as a kid in 1972 I’ve collected an obscene amount of Disney Pins. Don’t know why, but they fascinate me to this day reflecting my many visits from childhood, to teen yrs, school trips, marriage, going with my own kids… it’s a Nostalgic thing indeed. And yes, I’ve budgeted an unhealthy amount of $ for my Feb trip to buy 2 or 3 (or 10) more 👍

  9. Our daughter is now 13 and no longer into balloons but when she was younger on our check out day we made it a tradition to find another child to share the balloon love with. We are going in November and my daughter asked if we are going to get a balloon to give to a child. It began a fun family tradition. Im sure other families do the same but wanted to share.

  10. Confused; at 10:00 you say water plastic fancy water bottles sold at hotels an not be filled with water at the parks ???? WHY ???? A comment below @carol2girls says " we bring our own water bottles and refill" in parks. At 10:00 it seems there is a way to refill a water container (flask) but at one spot only. CAN YOU BRING YOUR OWN PLASTIC REFILLABLE water bottle ? if so, what is the big deal of allowing a flask ???

  11. I'm 61. My mom,big brother and I traveled to Disneyland by car from the Midwest and a bit later Colorado when I was growing up. Every time we went, my mom would stop at that last store on main street and get me a plush animal character from Winnie the Pooh. They were my favorite books as a very little girl and my favorite Disney films! Driving home with my beloved Pooh characters cuddled in my arms in the back end of the wagon are some of my treasured memories!!
