  1. Does anyone know what Jxmy uses for his visuals? I’m a data analytics major about to graduate and would love to know so I can start working with this to build my portfolio for my future resume. Thank you in advance!

  2. sick of arguing with people about it when it came to jokic before denver won a ring, they should change the name of it because it isn't most valuable player in the league

  3. It's all about the team, if he's not getting the team winning easy then he can't get up there. I'm the biggest Luka fan but his team just ain't doing well

  4. How is he the best player in the World and is a very bad defender??? Basketball is offense and Defense. COME ON MAN

  5. luka has very high usage rate and the ball is always in his hands.
it is no suprise why he has better stats that almost everyone in the league.
luka is great, do not get me wrong but he has to sacrifice and involve his teammates more other than them being rollers or spacers.
give them more opportunity and try to play off the ball more.
this is one of the reason why we think steph is better than westbrook even though westbrook had better stats.
luka's playstyle is not sustainable as he and kyrie are the only ones with enough experience to carry the offense while teammates are not getting better.
it is like there is no use in having more talented teammates when luka is out there dominating the ball.
MJ sacrificed and played more off the ball to win his championships. got his teammates more involve in the offense.
that is what we are seeing with jayson tatum. his stats may not be as good but it makes the team so much better.

the REAL definition of making teammates better is when they are winning with or without you.
the mavs will probably be a better team once luka starts embracing the team first mentality.

  6. He doesnt play any defense period end of story. Thats HALF THE GAME. If you cant play a lick of Defense you Dont deserve mvp consideration

  7. I think overall regular season standing should matter to some degree, that being said I’m not a fan of the Westbrook MVP because they were a relatively low standing. HOWEVER the inconsistency pisses me off more than anything. If Westbrook gets one and now Luka is in a very similar situation and is ranked 4th is ridiculous. MVP is basically an award based off some new BS year after year.

  8. I think what this misses is that neither Russ, nor Joker had a healthy second star for basically the entire season. And even then I think those MVPs were arguably mistakes, I think at the minimum you need to be getting home court in the first round to win. Luka should be higher, but no higher than third.

They made two great moves at the deadline and are only 9-6 since. Why aren’t they better than Phoenix, whose three stars have missed a combined 50 games? Why aren’t they significantly better than the magic who don’t have anyone near as good as Luka? Why aren’t they better than the Cavaliers whose 4 best players have missed 81 games? Why aren’t they at least as good as New Orleans despite all the Zion weight drama?

  9. So am I going to have to be the one that says it.. it’s kinda obvious why he’s not appreciated the way a black player would if he were playing like Luka.

  10. I personally think he’s a crybaby and a lack of defense…but honestly that’s a league problem more than a Luka problem. He’s probably just getting the worst of it

  11. Nobody cares because his team still isn’t that good so evidently his individual play doesn’t make his team or teammates better the other players ahead of him have similar numbers and are on elite teams

  12. Because he speak good English. And is the most difficult to put into a category looks wise. Clearly not "American" enough and is breaking down barriers for players in an unconventional way

  13. I still believe Jokic is the top as it clearly shows how valuable he is and his impact when he’s on the court. Luka should be 2nd. He’s pretty much a pg version of Jokic but Jokic’s consistency is just different.

  14. They hate Luka cause he's a COOL European White boy. We should appreciate greatness wherever they come from. Thanks for this post and no going Stephen A.

  15. Yes but even if there was a play-in Russ and Jokic were six seeds. Honestly Luka just needs to grab the six seed and he’ll be top 3. Realistically the MVP race is also a lot closer between a larger pool of players than before. Jokic, Giannis, and Embiid are there every year, while Tatum’s team dominance puts him there and Shai is now also there. Luka needs team success to match all of that.

  16. Luka is low in the voting because the Mavs are 8th in the West. This is obvious, but these videos are about as sophisticated as a coloring book.

  17. I definitely affrim the case for Luka to be higher in the MVP conversation. But I still wouldn't value him anything higher than Jokic. The Nuggets are going down as the 1 seed, not the 3. And if the two players were on the same team, I think Jokic would be Batman and Luka would be Robin. As good and underappreciated as Luka is, I project them as once again a first/second round exit. And that's not a good look for an MVP. Right now the Mavs are a candidate for the play in tournament. The eighth seed. That's too low of a bar. The seeding theories in this video don't hold up.

Edit: I wouldn't hesitate to take him over Embiid, Tatum or Shai

  18. You're not giving quite enough weight to the role narrative plays. Russ lost KD (and then became the unlikely hero to play against KD's villain) and then shouldered the burden better than anyone expected PLUS a historic stat line. Luka is incredible, but mostly, the narrative just hasn't been there.

  19. I'll tell you exactly how the voting should be done. Each player has to at the end of the season vote for their top three picks (in order) for who they think was the MVP, excluding their teammates. This would force them to pick the player they thought was the most dangerous on the opposing teams they played, would remove essentially all bias and give us exactly who actually deserved the reward. Of course something like that would never work because 99% of the MVP award is just publicity and fueling media etc. It would however give us an actual MVP voted by the players who first hand experience know

  20. Hes not the top in even a single value stat AND hes not winning games
4th in PER, 6th in winshares, hes 2nd in VORP but hes not even close to the guy in first who is also first in almost every other metric Jokic
The only stats hes leading in is PPG, Turnovers, and Usage

    Balas
  21. Anyone who actually watches a full game can tell this guy doesnt play a single second of defense. God given talent on offense and a joy to watch but man the whining and the 0 effort to play even a CENT of defense makes it hard for me to rank him as a better player.

    Balas
  22. I mean I also think that Luka currently has a better team and co-star than Jokic and Westbrook had in their MVP seasons when they were the 6th seed.

    Balas
  23. The NBA needs to add add an outstanding player award, the NHL has mvp(hart trophy) then most outstanding player(Ted Lindsey).

    Balas
  24. To be fair, after Embiid flopped his way to an MVP AND got egregiously boosted to the MVP as well, I've stopped taking this award seriously.

    Balas
  25. Jokic and Giannis are still in the league and still showing how good they are + SGA has taken the Thunder to the top of the west. By comparison, Luka looks impressive, but just not as valuable because clearly there's players that could do more.

    Balas
  26. How can you make a whole video on Luka and not mention him being a liability on defense? That plays a part of mvp voting
