This one was fun. When deciding what three guitars I wanted last year, to cover all the things I like to do, a semi-hollow was among them. I’ve owned a pair of Gibson ES-390’s and loved them and now I’m enjoying a Collings I-30 which is somewhere between a 335 and a 330.
This is a fun list and an interesting exercise. I hope you love it.

  1. As I was watching BB King revealed as No 2, I thought, NO 2??? WHAT THE HECK??? Then I kept watching. OK, I get it.

  2. I read this as "the top 10,355 players."

And I thought, gee, that's an ambitious list for year end from 5 Watt World.

  3. I think the list is almost perfect definitely everyone I could think of but I would have maybe included Alvin Lee and Ritchie Blackmore

  4. I always thought Clapton's Cream farewell concert 335 was the Yardbirds 335. TIL.

Anyway, Gibson's greatest contribution to electric guitar history. A perfectly versatile guitar. The burst killer for sure

  5. I was trying real hard to think who used a 350T because he was a very unique and great guitarist. Toy Caldwell.

  6. You do too much of a great job for me to argue about order or who was missed. I do want to mention Steve Howe of Yes who used a 175 quite often but a 355 on Close To The Edge. He was also player of the year in Guitar Player magazine 5 years in a row in the 1970s when several GOAT guitarists were active. Thanks for another excellent video.

  9. Great show but Alvin Lee over Noel Gallagher all day long. Plus special mention to Dave Edmonds and his gorgeous late ‘50s blond 335!

  10. Excellent job as always. Love these videos! When I hear "335" first player that comes to mind is Carlton. One of my biggest influences and favorite players. That being said, I can't argue with putting BB and Chuck Berry 1 and 2 because of the huge influence they have had. Can't wait for a Gretsch or Rickenbacker top 10!

  12. This list is overall pretty good. Was happy to see Chris Cornell on there but don’t really care for Delonge. Pretty surprised Noel Gallagher but not John Lennon.

  13. Is the “SG players” video in pre-production yet? Looking forward to that one. Maybe also a combined Flying V-Explorer players list? Top Rickenbacker players, featuring both guitarists and bassists? A Fender Jag/‘stang top ten? Ibanez players of all models?

  14. What I learned from this video is that Gibson is really good at capitalizing off of the work of great musicians 😂😂😂

  15. I knew so many players around St. Louis in the 60s and 70s that played 335s, all very influenced by Chuck Berry. I always played solid body gutiars in the 60s and 70s (Les Paulls, SGs L6-S and strats) because all the new stuff from Clapton, Hendrix and Page were done with those. It took me until 2000 to own a 335…I missed out on some really great tone early in my guitar days!!!!

  16. Sorry, had to pass on this listicle because apparently from reading below, Captain Speedfingers and Big Red is not on the list. That's a fail. There was no more prominent ROCK ES player in the late 60s and early 70s than Alvin thanks to Woodstock movie tho real Alvin fans already knew Undead, Stonedhenge and Sssh LPs. 🎸
