Cotton I got a question for u and Josh. What is better to do. Capture a monster or carve a monster for more materials. I know u see on the Hunters guide will tell u what u get from each method but what tends to give u more. I’ve heard different things. That capture gives you more materials and possibilities for rarer mats and others saying carving gives u better opportunities for those rare mats. I know some things come more with caps then carves but curious what ur opinion is.

4:00 i agree 100% i just recently bought the game again this time on steam and i finished alll of base world before i realized i had to upgrade my weapons not forge them i kept trying to forge and i wasnt able to forge any weapons and once i got to beotodus i waas sick of it so i googled how to make weapons stronger and then i was like oh yeaa no shit duh so i played through the entire game with defender bow tier 1 lmao i thought my hunts were taking ungodly amounts oof time and sure as shit they were lmao

Asmon said mantles, specifically temporal might interrupt his gameplay so he doesn't use it. I think he meant it and not because chat is telling him to do it like with tackle. Rocksteady tho will help him tremendously with finishing tcs.

I have been playing monster hunter for years and I never knew sharpness level affected damage that much. WHY DID MONSTER HUNTER 3 ULTIMATE NOT TELL ME THIS!

I got monster hunter tri on the ds for free because i bought a zelda game. Dont remember why, but they gave me a free game from a list of six, and mh tri was in there.
Ended up buying mh4u and generations on the ds after. And the first game i got on the switch was mhgu (and pokemon lets go bc it came with the switch)
People Raosting Asmondgold should maybe go back to MH school. They are noobs. Even after 1000's of hrs they have learned nothing! If you know you know. But they sure don't.
We all know it. But Josh definitely needs a moment alone with brachy.
I fully agree that the UIs need to be better in wilds than in world as the crafting menu doesn't explain anything about what anything in it means:
sharpness
elements and the numbers next to them and if they are in parentheses
what the hell is an elderseal
the raw damage number
what is affinity
for hunting horn what the hell are the different songs and what do they do (some are guessable others are very much not)
the hunter's notes on weapons very poorly explains how to use the weapons it has some of the moves and button presses listed but not all of them and doesn't list many combos if any then it has paragraphs of information of things the weapon can do or that you need to do to use the weapon but then barely explains how to actually do the thing (like do x then hit this button to do y ok great what is x and how do I do it?)
what do many of the items/buffs actually do and how long do they last?
I can go on but the game is very difficult to pick up for new players without relying on guides and such when the game should tell you the basics and then maybe you look up guides on tips/trick/tech/etc that are more advanced and not just the basics of how to use the weapon
You should have done the radabon hunt. He had amazing tackles in the hunt
I have over 7000 hours…..and in these two vids his dam cat has done more than mine has….also i wish i could watch him live but i hate his fanbase, super proud of him though
He has no other tools because he doesn't do side quests. He doesn't know basic mechanics. And he's not trying to learn. He is bullheaded and he rails against his audience when he doesn't understand.
Watching him in is painful. He says I feel I think wàaay too often and Ignores chat.
Imagine going through low rank without slide attacks, overcharging, not using slinger, and flash pods.
I like him to those YouTubers that go to Japan and are disrespectful to the people and the culture. And when they get knocked out, they like to cry.

World was also my first Monster Hunter and I startet with the charge blade, Odogaron (base) was a nightmare for me at the time but it helped me so much learning the chargeblade that by the time I met ebony it was a piece of cake. Currently going threw rise with friends and now going for the longsword wich I am also quite enjoying. Love the commentary and must say I have mostly had a good experience with helping each other (as in random players) have a great day everyone 🙂
it's been moths, close to a year, since I played MHW, I got to the point of being new to the series and being bad to getting good, to the point that I helped people with fatalis and alatreon, and when I went to MHR, it didn't click, and I haven't played since then… but seeing people play it again and even asmongold joining got me pumped, and I'm downloading the game again, I'll probably start from scratch again and climb the ladder again.

I personally don't like, him but that's a me problem, however I find it so funny that he calls all monsters "bosses" as if they were the important fights of a game, all tremble against the boss of world dodogama
seeing asmon play convinced me to finally go back and finish world. I had it on Xbox, but lost access to the game. well, asmon and the $20 it cost for the full game..

TBF I tend to try and avoid streamers in online games in general becuase lets be perfectly honest its a horrible fucking experience when I just want to play the game not deal with some dude and 26k hangers on that either harass or make playing around said person Unpleasant at best that being said I would never discourage anyone from trying a game I enjoy I just wouldn't want to be in the same lobby/server as a larger streamer
I always capture because they are animals that don't necessarily deserve to die. Catch and release makes sense. The extra loot is just icing on the cake.
I went after the gore magala so many times that I got it down to where I didn’t take any damage in MH4 and I loved that farming process, the evolved form of it was a still in progress for me but I loved the way the armor looked so insanely cool. I just wish they understand the fashion need out of things you’ve crafted and obvious MH rise skin stuff as well.

With all due respect to the Ragegaming team, this video feels like you gents dickriding Asmond for no real reason.
I want to comment on the duality of the community that Cotton brings up in yhe beginning of the video. In the comments of Ragegamingvideos uh, videos, I know that I've experienced both ends. When I was having a hard time with Alatreon someone in the comments was super nice, friended me on Playstation, and gladly jumped into several Alatreon hunts with me. Thanks to having a partner I was able to master the fight so I could then help other people.
I assume we've all been in hunts where the randos absolutely needed us in order to win the fight. Thanks to that dude I was able to become that hero for plenty of other people. And to me that was the community at its best. Strangers coming together to have fun and help eachother grow.
But I know we've also been in hunts where some dualblader decided to get the wakeup hit on safijiiva, or the one dude in the comments of a video who just really wants to argue about something.
Im pretty sure rathalos only shows up in AF this whole fight was Azure Rathalos. Since i dont think silver roam theyre only guiding lands and hes not near that point yet
