Ronnie and Donnie Galyon are the world’s oldest living conjoined twins and the only male conjoined twins. This incredible film is the first to tell their life story, a life that began in Dayton, Ohio on 28th October 1951. With their bodies fused at the lower chest, doctors didn’t think the twins would survive through the night, but even though they share their entire lower digestive system, Ronnie and Donne have confounded everyone in living to the ripe old age of 57.
After spending nearly 40 years working as ‘The Siamese Twins’ in circus sideshows and carnivals, the twins are now retired and with the help of their younger brother Jim and his wife Mary, they try their best to live a normal independent life. In this heart-warming and inspiring documentary, we get to know the real Ronnie and Donnie as they reveal the amazing ingenuity and dexterity they use to complete the most routine of daily jobs. The twins undertake ordinary tasks in the most unusual way – from shaving each other’s faces to using their opposing hands to slice, toast and butter their morning toast! This is heartbreaking 😢 can’t they separate them ?the fact that they have lived for 57 years is amazing! I wish they could live separately though . I’ve seen many twins had operations and it’s been successful, but I guess at this age they can’t ?
I would have loved to have met these amazing twins and have a good time and fun a good laugh with them but sadly they have now passed away x❤
