The global economy is changing. Countries are realizing that while economic interdependence has brought significant peace to the world, it can also mean supplying the military rise of your biggest rivals.

  1. Well, what we're seeing is a massive shift in the global economy. There's a drive to move away from Chinese manufacturing which over the past 30 years has been the global manufacturer of many things.

  2. and the reason it can't be build in pitsburg instead of china, is that you people want it cheap. In pitsburg, wages are high, making factories up to code is expensive, not to mention unproductive workers and not to mention unions.

  3. Putin Putin turned off the pipelines that pumped natural gas to Europe? Seriously? I recommend to read Seymour Hersh’s article which outlines in great detail who really blew up these pipelines.

  4. Two things. Its economic. Chinas becoming too expensive. So the trade is shifting elsewhere (Mexico, Virtnam, etc). And secondly, China is as the start of a demographic collapse. They will no longer be the force, either regionally or internationally, that they are now.

  5. The global supply chain is not reversing, it's shifting to exclude the untrustworthy nations : China, Russia, Iran etc.

  6. So…thank you to American companies for propping up China's economy at the expense of Americans? Oh, the irony.

  7. I feel like Johnny isn't america first. when we constantly send hundreds of billions to other countries to support their wars and our interests there, but can't help the homeland. Seems illogical.

  8. "After over four decades of unfettered globalisation and free trade, I believe a lot of people are beginning to realise it is a poisoned chalice that hollowed out the middle class. "
That's exactly correct. The damage has already been done. Believe it or not I was reminded of this by some stark images in a …..James Bond movie, of all things. They showed a gleaming jewel of a city in China and I couldn't help but think that beautiful explosive growth should have been happening in America…..but instead anti-American republicans in this country funded it in China and elsewhere in order to stab American workers in the back. And it's too late now……the damage has already been done. Whole generations of Americans…..and especially minorities…..have been robbed of the opportunities that our forefathers had to build and pass down wealth. The working class was decimated and US cities blighted.

  9. Politics shouldn't be predictable. Everything you think you know might be wrong. They're still hiding something most important from you.
