Robben was terrifying. I would have hated to play against him as a defender. I genuinely think that robben in his prime was one of the best forwards of all time. His speed is faster than basically everyone and he's just a bulldog…like he will run you over.

As a Frenchman, almost everyone here knew 2010 was gonna be crap (though we didn't expect it to be that bad, with Anelka's insults, the players' strike, etc). The team had been bad almost immediately after the 2006 final, Zidane was gone, our Euro 2008 was catastrophic… And in 2010, we had qualified by a hair and through Henry's handball, and in our last preparation game we lost against China's B team. Everyone was just waiting for the world cup to pass and Domenech to leave.
