When I was in the Navy, politicians and the media threw my ship under the proverbial bus. I was stationed on the battleship USS Iowa. They were saying that our ship was a troubled ship, a bad crew and one of the crew blew it up. None of it was true, the Navy brass was covering their own asses. The ship was brought back into service in a hurry and the ammunition was repackaged. The weapon system was the problem not us sailors. Ever since that time I’ve been very bitter about how they treated us. They’ve been doing this since forever. Wake up people.
