oo a murder mystery cruise
I am not kidding when I say I would rather die by electric chair than go for 9 months on a boat. I've never been on a cruise. I don't want to go on a cruise. It sounds fucking awful. Stuck in the ocean with nowhere to go, while everyone gets sick around you? Yeah, maybe I've seen too many horror movies, but I'm still alive so….
can you pretty please stop hitting the table when you're recording, it's a bit like you're hitting the eardrum every time 😅 maybe that's only a problem with headphones though?
I wish you still did captions on your videos.. as someone who uses captions on all media it really helps and YouTube’s auto generated captions just aren’t good enough yet
What I'd give to be a fly in the wall… the White Lotus of it all
Do they not still have the Semester at Sea cruises? Those are of a similar length and with a younger demographic. What makes this cruise so different?
There are 2 other companies trying this years at sea thing besides the failed one. Villa Vie & Victoria Cruises Line…. both have also postponed
I hope they've put in a no boning till March situation or they run the risk of becoming a labor and delivery ward.
I already hate the concept of cruises and world traveling like this but seeing the potential of this cruise being the next “fyre fest” has me intrigued
I surprised my husband with a trip to London, Rome & Paris for his birthday & we were so ready to get home after 10 days. We were so exited to visit the museum in the Vatican by the time we got to the Louvre we just rushed through it.
I thought that you would check out and report on some of the "festival at sea" cruises because it's the potential shit show factor that comic-con or Lollapalooza on a ship.
"He would want his bed" LITERALLY ME
There will be a movie/ netflix miniseries about this and i think i would watch it lol cruising SCARES me, if only for the norovirus.
If I could afford the time and money to take 9 months off to travel, the last thing I would want to do is be locked on a cruise. You could book your own travel packages tailored to everything you'd want to do instead.
cruise youtuber recommendations please! i fear that i am already too invested in the drama of it all 🤧
“Decent medical care” on a cruise ship? Good luck.
My first thought when I heard about this cruise was how amazing it would be if Amanda was able to do the whole trip and review—with Hermes of course ❤️
kind of hope a modern day titanic happens
I wonder how many babies/pregnancies will be disembarking the ship at the end of the voyage.
100% there are going to be multiple affairs and ruined relationships. Someone will be murdered/lost at sea.
If Amanda goes dark for more than a month I'm just gonna assume she got on board the boat, I'll be rooting for her immune system 🫡
Imagine being an assisted living nurse on a retirement cruise
There are literally so many people who on live on cruises. I'm not even shocked by the length but that there hasn't been one like this before.
i went on a weekend cruse once and I was the same family like 2x a day, I didn't have any problem with this other than it was a bit funny since I had found one of their passports in the baggage check area.
a lot can go wrong too, one of the last cruises I was on I wad a huge issue with the food since none of the servers/ available food reps had no idea what was in the food (mostly desserts) and because of this I was super limited in what I could eat and the buffets made me nervous due to cross contamination (I have a nut/seafood allergy). I can definitely see someone having an allergy issue on the ship
I'd go, TODAY! I don't take any crap. I have a wicked sense of humor – which I think is the MOST important thing to have if you are going to lock yourself up with strangers for 9 months. And, while being a "NO BS" person, I am genetically kind and PATIENT – the other MOST important things you must "be." OH – but the only way I would go is if I had a junior or better suite! 9 MONTHS? Ya – I need a room to move around in, see the beautiful ocean, and HIDE! So, anyone who wants a loyal, fierce, fun, adventurous buddy (NOT in the upside down pineapple way though,) GIVE ME A SHOUT! I'm broke, tiny, & CHILL. I'll be your BESTEST friend, will never start drama – but will stay to laugh at it.
I need swell on this cruise, but like during month 8 so you can get the scoop from everyone working there on what it's really been like
Costs more than I make in a year that’s completely insane
i don’t even like sleeping in a hotel for one night 💀💀 this would be my $60,000 hell.
Sounds like swell needs a barely paid employee to do all of the long ridiculous experiences she doesn't have time for👀
No hecking way I would want to spend so long on a cruise. I spent a week on one, and I was climbing the walls at the end. Also so annoying always disembarking alongside hundreds of other tourists who are all seeing the same tourist traps and shops. I hated it.
Travel influencers are the plague. Everyone ai have had encounters with have been asshats.
being on a sinking boat/cruise ship is one of my biggest fears which extends from my fear of the ocean; this cruise sounds like my worst nightmare 😭😭
I wouldn't trust to be with any cruise company, let alone Royal Caribbean, for a week and y'all want to be trapped on the water for NINE MONTHS!
isnt it also statistical that at least one person on the cruise is a murderer? people will die from natural ways or alcohol poisonings but for sure, someone is gonna get murdered
I worked at a cruise agency and yes we could book year round cruises. But like you said, it consisted of connecting shorter trips. They were never a planned 1 year trip with only people there for the entire year.
I really like Emma Cruises, shes basically always traveling but gives good tips on how things actually go and how to travel on as low a budget as you can on these ships.
The last cruise I went on the very last day there were three- four fights. One was over hogging pool chairs. On was a bar brawl another was a 12 daughter caught he father cheating and told the mom at breakfast. mom then proceeded to smack the father over the head with her plate and a police officer had to restrain him in a chokehold so he wouldn’t attack her.
Then the next a racist, old white man calling the kids in the pool racial slurs. And the last my neighbor locked his wife out of the room after beating her up, and she was banging on the door from 4 AM to 8 AM.
Fun fact: at the beginning of the global lockdown in 2020 there was a round the world cruise that basically got stranded because all ports were closed. In a wild twist, the cruise had no COVID and had no way to contract it because they were essentially isolated.
So for about a month in March/April one of the only places you could still be social and go to dinner or the movies or the theatre or to a pool or gym was on this ship.
It was a wild story to follow at the time
Fire festival gone wet?
amanda I love your videos but I CANNOT with your mic picking up you hitting the table 😭😭😭
I remember in one of Anthony Bourdain's books, he talked about a cruise that ultra rich people took that was like this. They basically lived on the ship for several months (maybe years?). I can't imagine being stuck on a boat for that long. I'd be running away at the first port of call.
3rd season of the white lotus but it's set on this type of cruise.
We need someone to get pregnant and deliver a baby while traveling
I wanna see someone get pregnant at the start of it and give birth at the end
I have a phobia of being lured onto a cruise for the sole purpose of being thrown overboard into the ocean
Can you pleaseeeeee stop touching the table/mic, it keeps picking up the feedback 😭
13:30 Someone save this poor table mic.
Does anyone know if there is a way to keep up with this without being on TikTok? Like has anyone made an account for updates yet?
