    He claimed to be this devil and has shown it.
    Now imagine this.

    Someone else does the same to him.
    And says

    Then boom
    The real devil shows up
    And punishes them all for this show of mockery….
    In comes the real “devil”
    But who would it be????

    Hahahaha not impossible but would take the story a bit further.

39. Honestly was extremely skeptical with this whole arc of Adam Cole being the devil, yes I was absolutely floored by the reveal but I felt this was too obvious of an outcome for its own good. However, THIS right here was some real story telling. And not some mishmashes “sports entertainment” type bullshit, actual story and depth to it. Adam Cole’s promo here was a perfect blend of reasoning. He truly never believed that MJF could really change, in his eyes he would never change from the scumbag he’d been his entire career so what he did was just end an evil’s tirade once and for all with something even worse. Enough thought for Adam to be sympathized just not justified. Remember MJF has talked about his past struggles and traumas, it doesn’t justify him either but shows what made him into the guy we all knew him to be. When Adam & him were surprisingly booked as a tag team, that’s when MJF started to change. He became the devil himself to conquer a heartless world, but became the people’s scumbag when he was given a semblance of proper love from Adam Cole. It was indeed because of Adam that MJF became such a massive babyface, but it was also his cunning betrayal that inadvertently proved why MJF always chose to be heel. However I’m sure this is not the end for him, I feel in the future MJF will return and will be coming straight for Adam Cole & the Undisputed Kingdom.
    There’s also a lot of other details that can hint at other storylines too. Wardlow smirking when Adam says he’ll dethrone Samoa Joe as Champion for him, seems to me the WarDog is just playing along for the time being and has no intention of handing the champion over when the time comes.
    Also Bullet Club Gold and the Acclaimed coming out to attack the Undisputed Kingdom, a lot of story potential there. BCG vs. Acclaimed for trios titles. Adam vs. Hangman rivalry revisited. But mainly a helluva potential for a proper redemption arc for MJF if he does return. Getting revenge on Adam Cole by burying the hatchet with everyone he has wronged. Maybe even becoming first ever two time AEW world champion. I think the biggest possible thing for this to lead to is a Blood & Guts match with MJF vs. the Undisputed Kingdom where he teams with the Acclaimed and (maybe) Hangman Page, but honestly that last part is purely me marking out lmao.
    Just wanted to post all my thoughts cuz I didn’t see anyone else comment on the implications, overall it has tremendous potential and is one hell of a way to kick off 2024. Now y’all can go ahead and shit on me for being a fuckin mark, ik someone will and idc😅😂

46. Cole on crutches really adds to this for me. The Devil sacrificed himself enough to assure his plan came to fruition. Cole said it himself “I sacrificed everything within that friendship, for god sakes, that’s how I broke my damn ankle, I’m the one who lost something, not him.” This is good stuff
