Am i the only one who doesn’t like the faster speed? It just seems so slippery now. Add in joycon drift and controlling Mario has become a nightmare.
I really don't like how much faster they made it. This was one of my favorite co-op games of all time and I think that it's too fast for co-op to be as fun now. I wish this could be an option. I was so excited for the port to release, now I'm really bummed about it.

I have to be honest, I think speeding it up kind of clashes with some of the level design…. I wish there was an option to have it on the regular Wii U speed.
I hate that they made the running speed faster, its so slippery and just to fast, i wish they had a setting to make it the orginal speed

I know I’m a bit late, but seeing this video and people saying it’s going to be great for speed runners are probably sorely mistaken. See, in the original sm3dw on the Wii U, there was a thing called cat momentum canceling. A trick used by speed runners to go super fast, super quick. Nintendo added the 3D world theme in Super Mario Maker 2, and I presume they saw this trick as a “””glitch”””… they removed it. They’ll probably do the same here, so although the game may be faster, the main way of getting around is much much slower.
