  1. Hey Mikey, this video keeps making me happy after years and years of rewatching. Thank-you for sparking my enjoyment of film and helping me see the layers below the screen.

  2. Wait you wrote borderlands? Dude this is so fing weird i saw this movie years ago but never knew much about it didnt even know it was a graphic novel, turns out some of my fave actors and film crew were a part of this movie and i didnt even recognize them or know of em when i first watched. Then to find out the dude i go to for all video game advice when i cant decide the completionist loves the movie and game then to find this video to find out the guy making the video was the writer to some of the best writing in video games hands down and the only video game ever i bought hating but then became one of my all time favs. Is the weirdest thing to happen to me in like ever. By the way the writing in the video game is what won me over not the gameplay or the game itself but the writers and cage the elephant made me a superfan of that game. Also to find out almost all the things i love all connected in some way is weird too.

  3. I read the book before the movie and Love both of them. I'm happy they are different when adaptations are different it makes people that watch one version enjoy the other version a little bit better cause of the differences.

  4. I always wonder what Scott did to Envy. She's so wrecked she thinks he's like a mechanical bull. Nobody can stay on for long. So is he just so self absorbed Envy had to get over him?

  6. Once you made the point that Scott doesn’t make a single decision throughout almost the entire movie I looked back on it and noticed it a lot on my second watch of the movie. Anytime he was in a situation where he would have to decide on something he would either go silent or he would either run away and or go pee (due to boredom)😀

  7. 1) I absolutely love the "But did you KNOOOOOW?" voice, that just tickled me 😂

    2) I absolutely adore this movie. I have often considered making a compilation video of all the best dialogue from this movie, but then quickly realize that I'd basically just need to post the entire movie…. It's all brilliant.

  8. I don't like the driven choice of making Knives, a girl who is fairly obviously too young and written to be so, being the one Wright chose to design the movie around. He's obviously meant to pick her because Wright didn't like Ramona so he made Ramona a fairly flat unlikeable character. It's a weird choice, a creepy choice when you start thinking about it, and the fact that the author had to force them to change the ending kinda shows they weren't interested in adapting a thing so much as swiping a story and making it too early. There's no real reason this needed to be made before the last volume released. I still think it's a good movie and a fun movie. But like… it's weirdly jarring.

  9. My favourite part about the lighting in the background of the bus scene is that towards the end of that scene, the x's in the background on screen for ramona change into hearts as she gradually comes around to Scott. Y'know, even though he's still being an arsehole – such a tiny background detail, but it says so much if you notice it. It's just bloody good.
