Highlights from Rory McIlroy’s final round winning round, as he claims his fourth Hero Dubai Desert Classic title.

The DP World Tour continues this week with the first Roles Series event of the season as the Emirates Golf Club hosts the Hero Dubai Desert Classic. World Number Two McIlroy is in the field again. He is aiming to become the first four-time winner of the prestigious event, having begun his 2024 campaign with a runner-up finish at the inaugural Dubai Invitational. Tommy Fleetwood will also be teeing it up again this week. His victory at the Dubai Invitational last week was built upon a consistent campaign in 2023, which saw him register five top-tens, including a runner-up finish at the season-ending DP World Tour Championship. Tyrell Hatton will also be in Dubai this week for his season debut. He finished 2023 with three top-12’s in his last five events to round of the year. Others to look out for are Nicolai Hojgaard, Francesco Molinari and Ryan Fox.

Love affair with a weak field…..they want more of this big name winners. Been seeing a lot of first time winners they dont want that you got 100 guys(pga) that could win if they get hot. Moving to limited fields and weak fields. Still a great win he played well. Im just gripping because i want to see underdogs win. Also the 132 144 and 156 players in usa events are better then this field.

Know what else kills me about this? It's the ponds and pools of water. Water. This elitist sport, and I love it, but… the water. I know I don't need to say it, but I do need to say it… somewhere off in the very probably not too far distance are people who could really be helped by access to more water.
