The poor chicks that are still hatching tho 😮💨, they're either gonna get cooked in the sun, freeze to death when it's night or get eaten by a predator
Actually, if the ostriches formed a harem to raise the chicks the survival rate would've been higher, so yeah, it's not the best parenting strategy to let the dominant pair do all the work.
