  1. Winter solstice had been obsreved and
recognized since prehistoric time,to be adopted,
    corrupted, changed by
    ever evolving
    " social practices" of
    myriad groups of Mandkind.
    So we should
    feel absolutely
    " free" to join
    any and every
    " event" organized around the
shortest day of the northern hemisphere,
    with joyous and peaceful
    herats.
    Think of the
    copulation those prehistoric/
    ancient celebrants did to maintain
    DNA lines to
    this very day.😂😂😂😂

  2. This is why Christ's birth was intentionally placed near the Winter Solstice – to mimic the Pagan celebrations – and attempt to convert. A Celebration of the Return of the Sun as each day will get longer. Light your candle, turn on your electric fireplace, burn a log in the hearth and have a feast. While you're at it, enjoy a bit of Mead.

  6. Highs of 60'F here, nothing but rain all week and we haven't seen first flake of snow or even a frost here in the Midwest. Hard to celebrate winter traditions without winter 😪

  7. Yeah that's great and all but there's over $11,000 children killed so far and over 11,000 men and women killed so far in the Gaza Strip and not to mention the 1200 people killed on October the 7th….. Israel started this whole thing with their Implement of apartheid through many years….. so one can expect people to Uprising fight back from the oppressor that's just human instinct….

  8. It's my birthday today! In CO I used to go to Red Rocks and watch the sunrise. Sometimes there would be someone there to drum the sun up! Beautiful! Now it has devolved into a large group of people burning smoke to thick to breathe, making all kinds of tin can style noise and running around in customs. Glad I went when it was a beautiful, peaceful experience. 😊

  9. Based on something real that affects all of us. Also there's no obnoxious capitalist rush for the Solstices.

  12. I love this time of year. And, as I guess many artists do as well, I hate when sun shines at its full range. Because to depict something or someome you as artist must see shades, you must have strong feeling of shadow – something that always stands between light and dark. Because without shadows we are as individuals are nothing but words and digits (if we're lucky enough) on tombstones that no one care about…
