Lyrics:
‘Cause the whole world loves it when you don’t get down
(Bah bah-da, bah bah bah-da da!)
And the whole world loves it when you make that sound
(Bah bah-da, bah bah bah-da da!)
And the whole world loves it when you’re in the news
(Bah bah-da, bah bah bah-da da!)
And the whole world loves it when you sing the blues
(Bah bah-da, bah bah bah-da da!)

  1. I just want to say…I have loved this song since it came out.
When it came out, I showed it to my mom.
To be specific, I showed her this music video. It was back when Fuse was a thing [is that still a thing? This was at least 10 years ago].

But to the point, my mom loves this song too. She's now in her 50s [I'm in my 30s] and she and I still get excited when we hear this song. It definitely passes the test of time.
Also, I can't speak for my mother, but the circus motif really does it for me.
Edit: Okay I can't lie, the skeleton guy in Hocus Pocus is my secret crush.

Outkast: Bringing mothers and daughters together for over a decade.

  4. I was 4 when I first heard of outcast
It was fresh and so clean and hey ya. I was in Rhode Island at the time. I remember seeing andre either on BET or 106 and park and danced when ever the song came on.
It sparked something in me that I didn’t know exactly what at the time, but now can proudly say I make music and love it ever so much.

  8. This video was a symbolism of what the music industry is experiencing today. Circus and clowns 🤡. OutKast was ahead of their time.
