I was sold on the hype for NMS from day 1. I saw Sean's passion and vision, and believed in him. While I don't think the product we have today would've been possible without Sony, I also think they nearly killed it before it could blossom. They forced the small studio to put out an incomplete version of what they described and wanted to publish. Luckily, after meeting this criteria, and later opening up to PC and Xbox, they gained enough freedom, time and funding to not only bring to fruition what was originally promised, but many many times beyond that. They've overdelivered so many times, and every time the content is free to all owners. It's truly incredible.

Starfield is a huge disappointment but NMS has been great therapy for me whenever I have time to play. Hands down the best space game to date.

The mere premise of the game is beyond the scope of anything any other game developer could pull off. It makes me so happy to see what you've done. Since day one, I never stopped believing in you guys and I'm so thankful that you never took our stock for granted, you always strive to deliver. No Man's Sky makes me so happy.

There was a time when I swore I would never purchase another HG game. The way you all have stayed poised and recovered NMS (instead of abandoning it) is the reason why I will be happy to spend my money on Light No Fire.

Friendly reminder that this is ALL available in VR. I play on the PSVR 2, and it's incredible. You owe it to yourself to experience the vastness of this awe-inspiring game in VR at least once. You may not want to go back to the flat version after that, though…
It’s hard to believe we have a game company like Hello Games in 2024. They’re a modern game company that put their creative vision and customer first, when that basically doesn’t exist outside of the indie space anymore. It’s unreal.
I have so much respect for everyone at this studio for making the game they wanted and making it amazing. One day it would be an honor to work for them. Im just amazed i get to the play the game.

I recently watched The Internet Historian's video on No Man's Sky. After seeing that and coming to this, I can see why HelloGames has become one of the most beloved studios in recent years. It's a shame that so much publicity brought the studio so much pressure that it fell to its knees. But instead of letting it defeat you, you guys got up, dusted yourselves off and kept on going until it turned into the game you envisioned – and probably so much more! It's nothing short of fascinating, and also a very heart-warming story. Keep being awesome, guys!
Now, it's time for me to finally jump into this game, as it's been sitting in my Steam Library for a couple of years with 0 hours played. Watching this video has me excited for my next adventure!
