  1. I suggest you review the Indian first names. The names that you have mentioned are quite popular in Indian upper middle class and upper class (ex: filmstars) but are practically non existent in the rest of the society.

  3. I got my first name,Jacque ( not Jacqueline) from grandfather Jack (feminine spelling) and middle name Dee from grandfather DeGill. At least I wasn't named something like DeGilla as a first name. On my mother's side it was common to name kids after close family members so I have two female cousins about my age also named Jackie. Family reunions were lots of fun.

  4. I find it hard to imagine u downplayed Joe, Joseph, Jose, Youseff. Considering how popular this name is in Latin America, Eastern Europe, Middle East and The Western World. It has to be near the top of the list.

  6. I'm Brazilian and i can say that it's accurate. Currently there's a lot of youngsters with double name like "Maria Clara" and "João Vitor". And one of the most used surname is "Silva".

  7. John is not Hans, its just taken from the Czech word Honza (Jan). So people asociate John with Hans. But if you would say John to someone named Hans it could be rude (not very, but you know…). Just wanted to say that theese people are not sometimes telling the truth.

  9. Four years late, but still intrigued.

    Skye Kadyn Dominguez-Blum.

    In order: Scottish, Arabic, Cuban-German.

Literally: sky, companion, son of Domingo (which I am not), and flower (from Middle High German "blum," pronounced bloom).
