  2. Aight yall place your bets on Zach either choosing long sword or hammer, and side bet how long it takes for him to call the game bullshit 😂

  3. 7:35 Cuz Dunkey at this point is just flailing around. Attacking the head is a powerful thing to do. However if you got a weapon that cuts, it's better to aim for its legs or tail………….unless you really needed the horns or other parts from the head. Not including times where you NEED to attack the head, especially in World and Iceborne. If you have a blunt weapon, always go for the head so that you can stun them, even though attacking anywhere else will sap their stamina, making them easier to fight overall.

  4. For me this game is more like what build you can make for each weapon, and which set synergies better with another set to get better damage numbers

  5. For the record, all the reasons to hate this game is shared by the same people saying best game ever. We know who we are and stand by it

  6. Not gonna lie, dunkey was hamming it up I feel considering he knew about bombing during sleep at least, but hems far from in the right mindset by also not setting up a trap between him and the monster immediately out of trip distance after setting the bomb.

It’s really not that hard of a game unless you only want to brute force everything. You need need think like the predator, not the prey 🤓

  7. Freedom Unite was my first MH game, and I've been hooked since. Honestly,
Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate is my all-time favorite. Them G-Ranks Quests, hunts me to this day. 😂

  8. 6:55 not really. If you got the general feel, you can do it without knowing much about the whirlwind of death heading your way. Punches are going to punch. Tails are going to whip. Spikes fly. And if it twitches, MOVE.

  12. Asmon: "I'm gonna play this game!"
    Literally everyone: "Cap"

I could 100% see Asmon being GS main. Every weapon in Monster Hunter requires different types of mental illness to really "get it". Believe me… I'm a Gunlance main. No other weapon has managed to pull me in like the rhythm of explosive ordinance pulverizing a Barroth into the mud he rolls in.

Greatsword is ideal for those with the need to see BIG numbers. It technically doesn't have the highest DPS, but it has the highest individual hits in the game and a ton of knockout potential. That being said, Asmon also needs to understand that movement isn't janky, it's deliberate. Monster Hunter is a game about preparation. You prepare items for hunts so you can farm items to prepare stronger gear in preparation of fighting stronger monsters. Naturally, this extends to the combat system. Positioning and prediction are key for Monster Hunter. Don't commit to a move with a long animation or end-lag if you don't think you can survive the ensuing hit from the monster. And nowhere is this more key than on Greatsword. Greatsword's entire schtick is "know where the monster is going to go so you can aim a FAT True Charged Slash on its head or tail.

That being said, Monster Hunter has a bit of a time commitment that I don't think Asmon has the nerve to dive into. He can't even bring himself to play other, newer games that are literally winning awards for how good they are.
