The walls were more of a slowing doen technique, not a full block. Plus it's a lot easier to garrison the landscape and send messages to the forts. Same for Hadrian's wall

Horses cant use ladders but they could have at least tried to catapult the horses. Trial and error.

The wall did its job, and its extremely efficient in terms of resources at preventing successful nomad raider from escaping, it made the small tribes unable to survive, thus has forced them to come together into much larger tribe.

oooooookay, you could climb above the wall, but the main-job of the wall or the limes in Europa was to REPORT ENEMY BREACHES and than soldiers from a closely garrison prevent you to invade and EVEN BETTER, stop your raid party to return with pillaged goods, the defenders can steal "back" and keep for themself.
the mongols can use gates in the wall to get their horses across the wall. china made trade with 25% of their border. there were gates.
