Rise was my first monster hunter, should I play World too?
So I gave the game a try earlier today.
I went into the training area to see what weapon I liked and settled on the Heavy Bowgun.
Then, all my friends started bitching at me for it.
I mean, why go anywhere near these giant apex predators when I can just Shoot Them?
Did I pick a bad weapon?
Do a play through of monster hunter world but with the randomizer mod
Does anyone know if this will be happening with ice borne as well
I had no idea about the return to world movement going on, and I just happened to be starting over to learn the bow, lol

I hope that Hunting Horn will be given the option to play either old way or newer version. The changes in Rise made it so much more fun to play around with. That being said, I've enjoyed trying to learn a new weapon with each game release since World. Thinking about learning Long Sword and Bow for Wilds depending what new mechanics are revealed.
Because of this sale i will finally be able to experience monster hunter world properly, and finally understand what the community has deemed "the best monsters hunter game"
if capcom releases new patch with buffs or event content to MHW/Rise it would be cherry on the top.

World is a great game that definitely holds up to this day. I will be playing it again and I highly recommend it to anyone who hasn't played.
I went back to world two weeks ago. I never got all monsters to show up in guiding lands. Just got Zinogre to show up. It was weird fighting him without a wire bug.
Returned to World this past week and having a blast! 3 crown achievements remain for me though. Let’s see if RNG is on my side to get even one of these completed by the time Wilds comes out. Cannot wait for Wilds!

My click moment for me was my first time hunting gore Magala at 13. My charge blade moves just clicked and I got an AED off mid combat for the first time. I've been hunting ever since

My first weapon was bow. Then I tried hammer…. The first time a monster responded to a hit and went flying back…..hooked forever.
Recently got a friend into world on PC, gave up my ~1000 hour save on Xbox to start again with him, we have not gotten 30 hours a week for two months now, and he is loving the game as much as I did. Nothing is better than him discovering something and hazing that shared sense of amazement.

The Monster Hunter community is probably one of the friendliest and most welcoming out there. I remember feeling overwhelmed when I first played World years ago, and some kind stranger took me under their wing and got me up to speed. I’m not an avid Monster Hunter fan.
Just excited to get my hands on a new Monster Hunter and of course, a new Gunlance.
Getting the HD texture pack on pc looks great. I’ve come back and appreciate it even more 💪
Damn. I havnt played world in so long but when I went back to check my builds I'm actualy surprised on how many sets with different builds. Idk why but rise didn't invoke the same reaction and feeling world did for me, even tho everything about the game controls, combat is much faster and convenient. World was more about those things and not just a game to hunt monsters, I can't wait to see the world of wilds.
Heck I just started yesterday and it took me 40 minutes for the 2nd mission cus I forgot a great jaggras shows up so I was running around looking for materials for traps and tranqs lol
while world was fun and i enjoied it alot its my least favorite
I've been playing again for the last 2 months, and it takes approximately 30 secs on average to have players join a quest. It's usually filled within a minute every time no matter the quest. There are a ton of people playing.
Think I might dust off my sns.
Even after 3k hours I still come back to this gem of a game
I kinda Miss playing Monster Hunter World… but that feeling gets completely replaced by 'oh gowd why why am i starting this game up again when i already played it to death (only around 1500h) till i got sick of it.' and then i start up Sunbreak instead and be like oh yeah.. the grind of Afflicted monster -_-

I only just bought iceborn last night after skipping it
I will probably go back to World.. but I've never given Rise a fair shot TBH, as it ran terrible on the Switch.
