I am on Wegovy, the real weight loss shot.
I dieted, but dieting alone cannot do enough to lose weight. My diet was strict. But I couldn’t exercise safely. No, I wasn’t 600lb riding around on a scooter. I was 230 at 5’3. But my body had been ravaged by an unhealthy teen life of contact sports and long haul backpacking, freestyle skiing, and surviving on chips, cocaine and cigarettes on the off seasons. They are unfixable until I can get replacements on my hips and knees. My body just couldn’t exercise. It could not support my weight beyond a mile flat walk or tiny five minute bike ride, so I simply couldn’t burn calories.
People keep telling me I cheated. But all I did was get my body down to a weight that I could move in, 195lb. Have I ruined my hips further? Yes, but that’s the price I’m willing to pay to be able to join my dogs on a hunt. I’m willing to do that to lose weight faster.
I will die if I don’t. I won’t have healthy pregnancies. I will leave my loved ones.
Wegovy has given me the extra boost to even start correcting my life. I understand that even when I lose enough weight, I will still be on Wegovy for the rest of my life.
So to meet a size 6 nurse who tried to connect with me because she was on Ozempic to cut down some pounds for her wedding? People teeheeing “look at how little I eat now”?

I've always been a fan of if a company knowingly put a product out there that harms people, animals or the earth should be fined whatever their profits were for that product and the cost of what it took the country/state to prosecute them.
