“The Israeli Foreign Ministry is instructing its embassies to press diplomats and politicians in their host countries to issue statements against South Africa’s case at the International Court of Justice that accuses Israel of committing genocide in Gaza, according to a copy of an urgent cable obtained by Axios.
Why it matters: The cable, sent by the Israeli Foreign Ministry on Thursday, illustrates Israel’s diplomatic action plan ahead of next week’s ICJ hearing: to create international pressure on the court to not issue an injunction that orders Israel to suspend its military campaign in Gaza.”

you really do not understand the Rules of middle east politics.
1 Jews suffered in the holocaust therefore they must be allowed to do as they please without consequences.
2 Israel is the USA's ally therefore by definition they are the good guys (see taliban during russian occupation vs post soviet occupation)

She's great on this topic but she still believes that the IDF didn't respond on Oct 7th because they were protecting settlers in the West Bank??? The settlers have been there for a long time and the IDF has patrolled the West Bank and the Gaza border with overwhelming force for numerous years. They were somehow mysteriously absent in monitoring Gaza from land , air and sea on Oct 7th and then didn't respond for six hours…SIX HOURS! Israel is a very small country so it is extremely curious, let's say, how they couldn't respond for six hours. It's also baffling how Hamas were able to attack from air, land and sea from a space that is probably the most guarded area of land in the world. Add to that the fact – as reported by the New York Times and CNN – that the Israeli government received detailed intelligence of the Hamas attack one year before it took place. One wouldn't need to be a conspiracy theorist to suspect that Israel needed its own 9/11 to justify a burning desire held by so many – to eradicate the Palestinians from Gaza and then the West Bank, killing as many of them as possible. Would they be willing to sacrifice 1200 of their own to do this? Well, even a scant look at the resumes and statements of many of its government ministers points strongly to a psychopathic fundamentalist ideology.

I think this is going to be in public. The world can see what is going on. Genocide intent has been articulated by the right wing in Israel so how can that be denied? They cut off water, fuel and medical aid and are restricting aid getting in. They said they could kill through bombs or starvation to get the Palestinians to emigrate. This news casters is bias, blaming oct 7 deaths on IDF for being slow in response. Victims blaming is pure ignorance. The problem with pro-hamas is that they do not accept accountability, only see one sided.
The President of the ICJ is an American also one of the judges is German who are famously anti Palestinian. How fair the trial will be is anyone's guess. Also. It won't be the Israelis that countries attack the South Africans for it will be the US government threatening them.
