  1. The scenery with the houses looked very familiar. Did they shoot the New Asgard scenes for Endgame in the Faroe Islands?

  2. I am a minig engineer. I'm going to reveal a secret – every big underground mine (there hundreds of thousands of them in the world) has several hundred kilometers of tunnels! There are many cheap and effective methods to dig them. But nobody care! Then, civil engineers come and claim that it must be very difficult and expensive to excavate something like that, and people trust them. As the results, we have only a few of such beautiful tunnels, instead of potentially have thousands!

  3. Although this roundabout is undersea, it was inspired by the karmøytunnel roundabout in Norway, and it dosen't suprise me that the Faroese people build something like that too because they are our brothers, the faroese island was settled by Norwegians, and Norwegians loves tunnels

  4. This video is going to take me ages to finish, i keep pausing at all the amazing shots. 4:57 is so serene. I could see myself living there and every day walking down that dock, staring out across the water and locking eyes with someone on the other side. Then breaking the silence by flipping them off and screaming "Fuck yooooooo"

  5. Absolutely no way that device generates 100Kw let alone 1.2Mw. Nope, noway, no how. complete BS. They are dreaming. That's what they want to achieve.

  6. I want to note that you have introduced me to and made me fall in love with construction even though it is so distant from me. Thank you!

  7. Access to clean energy, cold water and good rock for building could make the Faroes an interesting place for large-scale data centers.

  8. I’d like to thank you and your team for making these incredible documentaries. For me this is one of the greatest channels on YouTube, consistently excellent. 🤍

  10. The only crime the Faröer Islands have isnt committet against humans but againgst Whales and Dolphins. If they would stop the slaughter it would be a truly beautiful country!!

  11. the fact that i haven’t subscribed to B1M before this should be a crime, this is an absolutely incredible production 🤯 and an even more incredible feat of engineering

  12. I’m not sure if you’ve already done a video on Hawaii’s (Oahu island) “interstate H-3” Project…. Could be an interesting video as this Completed highway was riddled with controversy after controversy and Delays upon delays!! It was also the most EXPENSIVE per mile/km in the nation!

  13. if i can live in faroe island, i must the most happy person because there is a lot rock climbing spot i can develop

  14. Love that you are also showing the effects of the constructions on the local community. In such an intimate way! Great video

  15. Absolutely AMAZING infrastructure and one I would never knew without your channel. You and the crew do a superb job!

  16. Truly incredible feat of engineering by such a small country, and an even more incredible documentary that excels above the rest. The quality of your works is second to none. I love this channel. Always keep up the amazing work!

  17. Stories like these show the power of local self-government. Is €7,000 per person for a tunnel a lot? If you’re not the beneficiary, it probably feels like a lot. If it changes your own life, it feels cheap, and you make it happen.

  18. Great for the people that live there but how does a country that is so small able to afford a massive project like this?

    Balas
  19. The infrastructure is awesome, but the cost of using it must be a pain. Where I live in Norway we have a large amount of to toll roads and travelling has become a huge problem for many people because of the cost.
