I lived in this exact gostel for 4 days this Summer and i had a great time. Plus the ratings are not bad hor a hostel in Amsterdam. Wonder why they made a video in this hostel as this clearly is a very good hostel

You haven’t been to some parts of Africa away from the civilization…. In Cameroon I’ve stayed in an hotel a 1000 times worst than that. That is luxury compared to it… That for sure is not the world´s worst hotel .
There are no shitty (official) hotels in the Netherlands, we have strict rules. Also: most people are friendly and honest. Dodge the Red Light Zone in Amsterdam and visit some pubs with elder locals, it will be great if you merge with them in a normal/respectful way. For a good party, don't use strange apps, just check the bigger locations for the program. Bit of a dissapointing video; not great, not terrible – 3.6

yeah but dutch standards are different..
what we find bad and discustiing seem clean to me (am dutch) but like we been in like hotel types in amsterdam were there was dirt in corners and like random shit in the drawer next to the bed.
but who cares it was cheap and the bed was clean…

If you undervalue yourself as a hotel and a customer comes with low expectations, they’re more likely to leave happier.
Similar to when hotels say 3pm check in but then tell you they’ve got you an early check in at 12.
