This video was only made possible because of the tremendous effort of a lot of people, but I’d like to say a special thank you to my editor, Whit. If you like what you see here, you really have him to thank.

This video has been by far the most difficult one I’ve ever worked on – I nearly gave up multiple times. It’s also the video I’m the most proud of, and I think it’s my best work to date. I really hope you all enjoy it and can see the passion we put into it.

  2. Start to finish, what a great peice of content. I was unsure about you after learning about some cheating scandal claims, but after watching your content, you seem incredibly humble and heartfelt. Keep pushing!

  3. This feels like an Olympic Athlete explaining their own experience. Pokemon is Amazing! And thank you for showing me that.

  4. Babe wake up. WolfeVGC The Movie just dropped.

At Worlds, I saw you sitting against the wall looking so defeated. This definitely adds more context…. Because it definitely didnt seem like an appropriate time to come and say hello lol.

  5. Would have been funny if yall used Arboliva, a grass trick room setter. It is incredibly mid, but would have been that one niche pokemon to become a godly champion.

  6. Hopefully next year Gamefreak gets their act together and doesn't change the rules a million times. That's not only unfair to you but to everyone who has poured hours into this game.

  7. you should start "leaking" a team to mislead the people that hound your secrets to make it easier to keep the odds fair and square

  8. This video is insane. 2 hours of pure entertainment.

But, am I the only one that wonders how they managed to get 6 Legal Pokémon in the timespan of like 2 days? They surely had to grind day and night, no?

  9. Me and a teammate of mine years ago during the initial year of Gen 6 qualified for worlds. The amount of work that it takes is no joke. Wolfey I love your vids, I live vicariously through you now. Go for it all and never stop <3

  10. Great video, Wolfey. I admit I kinda skimmed over the content at Worlds itself since, well, I knew how it turned out and I'm not in the mood to relive that right now. You're my hometown hero, man, we grew up in the same place, it's just that I'm a bit older. I was great at Pokemon back in the 90s and very early 2000s (pre-gen 4 times) and I imagine if I'd been born a few years later my love of the game would likely have seen me attend the same regional in DC that you got your start at. So, you know, I'm always rooting for you.

You may not have been the best in the world this year, but to me, you absolutely are the best in the world every year. Your love, passion, and brilliance at both playing and communicating about this game is absolutely peerless. Thanks in large part to you, I'm still happily enjoying Pokemon as much at age 36 as I was at age 11 when Pokemon Blue was the newest obsession on the playground.

As long as you keep at it, I have no doubt you'll be back on top again one day. You've got the World Champ Difference, after all.

  11. I was so happy to hear Pokémon Conquest music in the background. Not enough people recognise how awesome the game is

  12. Yet another great video. I can’t stress enough how much I look forward to these types of videos and a close second to your wrap ups of tournaments and a close third for the ‘can xxxxxxx reach rank 1?’

  13. Forgive me if this is a stupid question – is it a risk building and sharing your comp team with your friends? Theoretically, could you face off against them in battles where you know each other’s strengths and weaknesses?

  14. I like how Wolfey acts like he’s just some dumb YouTuber but in reality he’s one of the greatest VGC players ever
