  1. As a very long time fan of LTT I'll just say that the ad spots are starting to get ridiculous. The actual sponsor segments are fine, it's just the amount of plugging LTT store and cutting away to other minor sponsors is starting to feel like I'm watching QVC with a little bit of the actual information I want from the video being inserted in.

  2. This video had 2 sponsors, a James merch plug, and a plug for a $30 PEN for only the truest of Linus hog riders…idk man, I like my content with a little less shilling. I get you have people and things to pay for but jeez. Thankfully I can skip right past them, but it distracts me while I’m at work having to do that 😂

  3. I remember reading the news when it was announced!!! Soon after, a flagship television newscast from Brazil started using it, and most impressively, it is still in use to this day!! ❤

  4. Just added Linus Tech Tips to my Do Not Watch List on my LG Television. Presenting me with a 30 second non-skippable commercial just because I choose to view on a tv, instead of phone or tablet means I No Longer Click On Linus Tech Tips Videos. Jayz Two Cents now has company on that list. There is Nothing about your less than 15 minute video, with low production costs, that justifies a 30 second non skippable commercial.

  6. Such a shame Japan failed to capitalize on this tech and instead went all in on LCD. The Koreans then did go all in and now every OLED panel is made by LG and Samsung…. Very short sighted, Japan. This is what happens when you let old men call all the shots in your companies. Same thing is happening to the car industry.

  7. I used to work at Best Buy in Anchorage, Alaska before 2008, and they got one of these Sony's displays in a clear box playing a demo video. I know it was either in 2006 or early 2007. The one we got was only a demo, and it wasn't for sale. I absolutely remeber how blown away I was at this diplay. It was playing a Sony rendered type demo that showed off the deep, blacks and colors really well. It was stunning compared to anything else I had seen before it. It had deep blacks amazing colors and incredible highlights. It's common technology now, but back then it really stood out compared to the bland washed out LCDs of the day.
