According to biologists, they shouldn’t have been able to breed. But they did. We know this because many of us have some Neanderthal DNA.

BBC World Service explains what we gained when Homo sapiens mated with Homo neanderthalensis many thousands of years ago.

  1. Humans are not a species😂. There are no Neanderthals or Homo Sapiens… there are only humans of different kinds living in different parts of the world. This is hilarious. Of course humans of different backgrounds had sex with each other… 🤦🏼… good grief… this is overanalyzing if I have ever seen it.

  2. Quite some claims without any sources. The DNA differences of HSS vs HSN is about 100% vs 99.7% and they could supposedly interbreed, while we speak of completely different species. Same between the 3 HSS subspecies, they can also interbreed while we speak of one specie. That seems odd, and this unscientific approach does not address issues most of us know for a long time. But mind you, that is not a reason to suppress one of the subspecies, but to pursue a deeper understanding of each other.

  3. "consentual sex" what the heck! meaning that the other is not conscious, assuming they werent conscious human beings. Its far more logical to see they were like us humans marrying other races and so on..

  4. You are still prehistoric in you methodologies, in that you think of the early humans as some sort of monkeys who could not speak and did not have any form of clothing or did not even know to make food ready for eating.
It would take you a very long time to discover how little you know.

  5. It’s funny people diss Neanderthals all the time, yet they were most likely more intelligent and calmer than any of you in the comments section. The people with less Neanderthal dna seem to be the most aggressive and less intelligent. Just saying.

  6. This is pseudo science.very dangerous stuff….gave birth to eugenics and scientific racism.Lets focus on applied sciences and not pseudo stuff like archaeology, egyptologist.
