Spot- on, sir! I spent quite a few years (over three decades) on and off attempting to figure out who "they" were?! And then it dawned on me a few years ago… that these "people" are bloodline (and not) inbred narcs, psychopaths and the hybrid! (I also thought I had recently coined the term: "narcopaths," but apparently sociopaths were already being labelled, this?)

How can it be such a low number in society? My family and my in-laws all seem to fall into this category. Without a shadow of a doubt. Constant conflict, power games, smearing., no one tells truth etc etc
The narcissist doesn't know how to take control. He isn't a leader. He mimics the actions of others because he doesn't know how to act. He memorized all of my behaviors (courage, strength, self-awareness, empathy, and my ability to talk to others), and then he exploited me and tried to destroy me. He truly is a 2 year old in the wretched body of a 58 year old. It's disgusting. He told me that he enjoys when I give my granddaughter a consequence for her behavior because he "has no power" over his step granddaughter. He starts smirking when I send her to her room. How perverted and "cringy". I recorded him when he said it.

Do you think that people are becoming more narcissistic because when exposed to narcissists we learn to use defenses that are themselves narcissistic, and with globalisation and social media, we are being exposed to far more narcissists?
