  1. The Stone and River Trolls are Michael Perry mate. Only the Hag is by Trish Carden. The other Perry did most/all of the Savage Orcs.

As regards the choice of lists and whether it's an appeal to the grogs, or chosing not to 'cross the streams' – think the answer has to be both, no?

There's not a single picture of a Night Goblin or Savage Orc in the main books and, as you rightly point out, you can ALREADY make a list that exactly mimics the last time either had a list (6th edition) without the need for anything special.

Lastly, traditionally, Savage Orcs are from the Southlands and Lustria. The Badlands are where common Orcs and Goblins are most, well, common.

  2. I like what it is so far. There's part of me that still hopes they decide to release the rules restriction on newer modals, but I doubt it.

Overalls I'm enjoying this edition even if it is more 6th.

  3. Next most likely will be high elves vs chaos. Followed by beastmen vs wood elves. Lastly empire which i mean empire is at war with everyone, including itself at that point. For all we know could do a nuln, marrienburg, and middenheim

  4. So – the product marketing strategy behind old world is crap – basically “specialist games” can’t or more likely won’t write rules for armies available in age of sigmar

If I was CEO – someone is fired … this doesn’t nothing but stop sales for people looking to cross over.

  5. This focuses very much on the Greenskins (and adjacent creatures) of the badlands. I think there's room for another Arcane journal with armies of infamy from further up north: The Night Goblin tribes of the various mountain ranges and the more feral (possibly sneaky) savage Orc and forest Goblin tribes of the Empire's (and Bretonnia + Kislev ofc) woods.
