Well I guess that guy asking about "why the kids" hasn't heard of Keiras law either or Andrew Berry in BC they do it to punish the Mother for leaving them or they resent having to pay child support and a domestic abuser is mentally ill violent and has no impulse control often times either. Red flags get ignored victims get enough support when they leave police don't even always take concerns seriously or enforce protection orders either so "statistics" as far as prevention are not very good either if anything society and the legal system are often enablers. A women was just murdered in Calgary a couple of weeks ago too in front of her childs school the father had sexual assault and other charges against him already a woman is killed by her current or former intimate partner on average of twice a week in Canada yet the focus in Alberta is about underage children having the right to puberty blockers instead. Domestic abuse just isn't being prioritized enough though likely some trans kids are victims of it too.
