This is nonsense. All you have to do is just switch the computer on and off again. Sometimes I do unplug it as well of course.
I wish journalists would start with the most obvious question. Will my computer work? Will it fix itself? Is it actually a hostile viral attack from China?

Just as well we didn't have a power outage. This would have been disastrous with a power outage combined with severe cold or a heat wave and no means to heat or cool nor running water in many parts.
A power outage in such conditions and no physical currency would add to the chaos.
