The world is returning to normal. The peace that lasted after world war 2 was unprecedented in history, the U.S. being the sole superpower after 1990 was also unprecedented. Major powers have challenged each other and fought each other for dominance since the beginning of civilization. China wants to defeat the U.S. and be the top global power and control the world, Russia although it doesn’t have a chance also would like to dominate the world. What will be their undoing is totalitarian regimes are very expensive, you need to have troops at home to keep the population in line, free societies don’t have that problem and that is our advantage.
