Poor finishing and decision making cost them this match. Liston Colaco in particular was abysmal. A one goal lead is never a safe scoreline in football.

    Also what the hell was Gurpreet Singh Sandhu doing there. That's a regulation save for any keeper. Lucky for him the incident has overshadowed his howler.

But Divyansh my thinking is that ok this thing happened against Qatar in the match but what about the other matches what about the match against Afghanistan on our home ground we could have won that match and even if win won that one match we could have qualified for round 3 but we didn't. The whole idea to score the first goal and defend that lead instead of extending it shows that the team lacked the mentality to win the match. Despite Afghanistan scoring the second goal and making the scoreline 1-1 the team instead having the winning mentality just thought to defend the 1-1 scoreline the manager itself thinks that drawing a matching is better than losing which is right always. And eventually the score was 3-1 and the team got defeated. In the whole qualifiers campaign the Indian team and the manager itself had same thinking or mentality that is ok if we didn't win we should draw the match. In the whole camping Indian team lacked in Attack with and without Sunil Sir. Indian team is fantastic against weaker teams but against stronger teams they still doesn't have any chance.
