Femke is from my home town and i was briefly training at the Altis Amersfoort club myself when i was a rebellious difficult youngster. I really liked it there too. The coach was just a great guy and he would stay late to have me trying different things and really bring out my potential, even though i was new and not the easiest kid he was clearly very dedicated. And he involved me in the whole process asking my opinion so you just felt right at home there. It' s no wonder they are producing another major talent at the moment who just broke Femke' s youth record. They do things right at Altis.

Alexis is VERY calm .. almost like she’s studying Bol’s race style and will use it to her advantage in the final. 👁️
Pretty funny that after what happened in the Mixed Relay Final in Budapest that both Bol & Holmes have ended up facing each other 3 times at this Champs 🙂 Bol has looked so comfortable & in control in every race! Loved the fight between Nielsen & Jaeger for that vital 3rd place for a place in the Final! Don't know if Warholm would be interested, but Norway could put together a decent Mixed Relay Team in Paris; Karsten Warholm, Håvard Ingvaldsen, Henriette Jaeger & one of Line Kloster/Amalie Iuel, hope they go to World Relays in the Bahamas to try it out!
To think my time in the 400m when I was 17 would have won me this race. No I don’t do athletics. How can they allow men to compete against women these days? If I were to transition now I could all of a sudden be an olympian?
