I only knew about the iframes when youre laid down during kulve taroth, and i was hours into the guiding lands then.
Shara's spirit bomb is always aimed at the middle of the map, anywhere along the edge is safe… never dared getting that close though! 😱

the rest are Mernos, the Wingdrake we use for transport; Noios, the vulture-like Wingdrake that acts like a Sonic Bomb that lures out Diablos; and Cortos, the Wingdrake of the Hoarfrost Reach that spits an ice ball (the only Wingdrake i actually like).
i haven't played WorldBorne since 2021 – before Rise came out, if i recall – and i STILL remember their names!
speaking of the Wingdrakes, i still find it a missed opportunity that we didn't get to choose the Wingdrake we fly on. i could have had a Cortos fly me to hunts.
The spiritbomb never did damage BEHIND shara. You always could just play agressive and do damage.

Tbh watching asmongold play mhw is refreshing. I wish i did it the he did not looking up guides on how to kill monsters and will just wing it and go to fight. Anyone who looked up a guide and being a "know it all' doesn't have the right to criticize his playstyle cause he is just playing it the way he played eldenring which is by far a harder game.
I have been watching asmon for years and u can tell when ye enjoys playing a game and when he is not and dude has veen having a great time and thats what its all about.
Sharas eyes dont follow you, that would require him to look at someone and therefore not everyone. His eyes are not spheres but have dimples where is pupil is, causing a hollow mask illusion to happen. Google that and you will undestand.
He actually defeated Velk without DB, pretty badass

I think a lot of people want to see him fail, imo he’s doing really good for an absolute newbie to the series, maybe that makes people salty because they struggled a lot more, people are just assholes, but tbf, he does act like an absolute imbecile sometimes so that can be frustrating.

I farmed full gear for Nergigante, glavenus beat my ass a lot of times and Velkhana made me go do optional quest for days until I tried her again.

The interesting thing about Shara's eyes isn't that it's a 2D image, the trick is that unlike any other natural eyeball they are concave, meaning they bend inwards, with an unmoving iris in the center. That in turn creates an optical illusion (I forgot the name for it) where within a certain range of angles, the eyeball will appear as if it is following you. The combination of Shara's head shape and eye positioning makes sure that the illusion is never broken no matter which angle you're looking at her, creating this effect of apparently always following the camera, but simultaneously the hunter themselves is experiencing that exact same illusion as well
there are good bosses like odogaron(failed 1 time before killing), velkhana(total failed like 5time before first kill in sunbreak), amatsu(7times before kill) and nergigante(5times before kill) that i can hunt for over 30minutes without really noticing and failing them isnt a big deal because they are really hard/has good flow but then there are some dogwater bosses that feel like a chore to kill.. running around for 30-40minutes but i have to progress the story. i also didnt really like the final boss.. failed 3 times but it just wasnt fun kinda Cool though
right now im stuck at killing the kirin before rajang and instead of malding over and failing the quest for the 4th time i decided to go farm for some better skills to up my game and also slightly better armor
I guess something new you learned about Shara, eh? I learned that myself after a few attempts with him. He has a blind spot behind him when using his ‘spirit bomb’ attack. You "can" go to the opposite side of the arena, but it’s actually a lot safer behind him, and it even gives you an opening to attack him once the animation’s over.
23:45 Nah man, I really think the spirit bomb used to have a much larger Area of Effect because I swear its original safe zone was much larger and that he would throw it closer to himself, leaving the safe zone being shaped like a crescent away from Shara. But I could be remembering wrong, or they could have changed the size of it since iceborne release and I've still just done what I do every time and never knew, or never learned the true are of effect. shrugs

I've always dodged the spirit bomb by going under Shara, didn't even know you could out range it by running away.
I felt Shara in Iceborne and Gaismagorm in Sunbreak were a lot easier than other monsters leading up to them. I'm not sure if they are designed that way intentionally or it is just easier for me to fight bigger monsters.
