  1. I think if ur 22 and living at home imo thats fine! Just as long as you arent an alcoholic, drug addict, you have a stable job and paycheck and arent a dysfunction to people in your life then living at home at 22 doesnt make you a loser 🙂

  2. I find it interesting that so many of these dysfunctional families also seem to have corollary issues with their weight.
My wife earned a degree in psychology, master's degree in information and library science, employed as academic college and then full-time public librarian, online researcher, certified drug and alcohol counselor, certified Bradley Method natural birthing coach/instructor, certified therapy dog community volunteer.
Endured a 10 1/2 year struggle with brain cancer before succumbing three years ago.
She was a "research-aholic. She rejected the then "standard of care" and proceeded with her defensible own path. Her neuro-oncologist said she "wrote" her own program and knew more than many of his peers.
Her own research included the annual SNO conference (Society of Neuro-Oncologists) where the latest research and trial papers are presented. She was registered and could read what was applicable to her situation.
She would apply and be a subject for various trials including an 18 month research project in Pittsburgh.
She became a vegetarian and embarked on running and cycling to improve her immune system.
She eventually ran three half-marathons and a full marathon.
Her goal was to see our son and daughter graduate from high-school and college.
She almost made it except for our son who is still finishing up his college education.
She survived growing up in a dysfunctional "family" with successful alcoholic dentist who died at age 58 from alcoholism, a totally self-absorbed mother with no education and LITERALLY smoked 24/7. Her parents were divorced.
She passed away in her sleep, had ZERO deficits including memory, speech, personality, sense of humor, mobility (she had a "tri-bike" and competed in several duathlons), played tennis even on the day she passed away, decent downhill snow skier and worked agility training with our std. poodle.
    Hated swimming….too cold.
With all of that we were fortunate to be able to raise two children without ANY issues or traumas.
We were totally involved in supporting their activities.
Finally the end of our "tale".

  4. Millennials living at home?? Wow, yes, that because after we pay our own bills, we can't afford housing, not even studio apartments, due to price gouging and rampant inflation across the board without wages being raised. We remember hearing about people buying houses at 21 in the 80's and earlier.
