Just for reference, Warholm in this race ran half a second quicker than his fastest time WITH HURDLES. The dude is absolutely insane for even just getting second. To be honest, I don't understand the whole "upset" approach when it isn't even his event that he trains for. He is training through these events for the Paris 2024 Olympics. He doesn't need to do this event, but he did. Good for Doom on his win! I just don't like how people dont understand how well Warholm actually did. The dude is a beast.

It's very american to think that the 2nd place athlete has to be "upset". Why can't Warholm just be satisfied with his run despite not winning. He doesn't have to be upset about it, and nor does he look upset. You don't have to create drama where there isn't any.

Field was a little weaker than expected but well done to Doom for lowering his PB from 45.69 to a 45.25 NR for a well-timed run to beat Warholm. Poor guy must have heard every single Dr. Doom joke by now 🙂
