One huge contributing factor is the weather in Florida in summer , I would never subject my family to the extreme heat like that. I was at all park in December and they were filled to capacity
Disney is congratulating itself because it achieved what it wanted. The Disney company is willing to die at the alter of DEI.
Disney cast members have to jump thru hoops to use our "benefit" of getting into parks. We used to be able to enter the parks at any time. We picked up the slacker times bc we ate, drank and shopped when tourist season was off. Even though we "got in free" we spent money each time that they are not getting now by leaving us out. When we are not "blocked out", we can only make three (3) reservations at a time. I do not understand why they forgot the cast members are an easy sell.
Plus, many have Universal Annual Passes and we can just go there without the hassle. Makes no sense to me.

They did this in the beginning of may. I was there while they did it. It was a pain cause we would get off a ride and have to stand there for 10-20 minutes while they did this videos.
Maybe some people are waiting until next year to go?

I don't know why you keep harping about the Disney Parks being so empty. It's super obvious and you should mention that Disney has become very expensive, the food and the hotel rooms are very expensive, and the tickets to get into the park are expensive, going to Disney has not only become expensive but is a hassle, they took the "magical" vacation and turned it into a road map of being on your cell phone on the Disney App to get on rides, you have to navigate through your App which is annoying because when you're on vacation, you don't want to constantly be on your cell phone. Plus they are screwing over the DAS folks. Plus there is very limited seating, and limited shade so Disney has become more of a nightmare and no longer fun, especially when you have to pay all that money, its just not worth it anymore and there is other places to go with less hassles and cheaper.
So glad I grew up in Disneyland throughout the 80's and 90's. So many memories. Amusement parks are dying as our country spirals into the abyss.

We used to take our kids to WDW every year up until 2018. We bought their merchandise and my kids loved their games and movies. It's strange to think about because we all despise Disney now.

There is that super hyper vlogger from Disneyland who goes to the holiday retheming of the Haunted Mansion telling the imagineers how much he loves them. He must take stupid pills. There is no other explanation. You could drop the Rock of Gibraltar on him and it wouldn't calm him down. Iger is choosing the current imagineers from the LA homeless. They come so cheap.
I was there last week and I couldn’t believe how low the wait time was. Less than 20 minutes plus I was able to get a virtual queue for tron😯
The only reason attendance is low is because it's so EXPENSIVE. Unbelievably expensive.
Neither myself nor my family will ever purchase anything from Disney ever again. It is truly an evil corporation.

To tie these two items together is a flawed analysis.
I can attest to their crowd level. Was there and it was so low. It was unreal. Like post Covid re opening low. So many attractions down as well. Tiana down all day. You sorry mania down more than half a day.
I will say for one the cat was actually super nice again. Now some mega lazy ones but compared to how empathetic they became it was refreshing to encounter so many super nice ones again.
We also had hotel issues. Like crazy issues. They handled it well. I just feel it’s want their fault but Disneys fault at limiting their resources and staff. Deluxe resort.
You guys haven’t mentioned their hours are also cut back compared to all their past summer park hours!!
You could line up to watch 3pm parade with great viewing at 3!!!! Insane. Was little sad for me to see what’s become of it. We did magic kingdom rides multi times. And left park little before actually closing time. Been going for 47 years. That’s how much Disney memory I have.

Disney has priced out a ton of families these days. We had our room paid for, tickets and a $500 card for food paid for thru my husband's company. Still spent more in a week than we have on cruises. We won't be back.
DEI is economic sabotage. Its just another attack on western prosperity by weakening the leadership in as many corporations as possible, while incentivizing them to produce low quality products aimed at a small percentage of possible customers. Its literally economic warfare on America, and the country is so rotted by purposely subversive & ineffective education, a traitorous media, & an infiltrated church….we are too naive, ignorant, and neglected by cowardly religious "leaders" to realize it.

i have never understood the appeal of disney world or disney land and i was still a boy when i learned of their existence.
Pro here is an idea. Get ElToroRyan to do a breakdown of each rides theoretical capacity and ride time. Then use that to calculate how many people are moving through all the rides in an hour. You will then be able to calculate how many are in the park riding the rides. More importantly you will be able to estimate the average attendance decrease in the park. I think it would be a cool research article for you.

Disney has always been way too expensive and out of reach for the average family. The economy this year has just made it so EVERYONE feels it now. I’m actually planning me and my sons first trip to Disneyland and I’m not super bothered by the expensive prices because I knew what I was getting myself into…An over priced themed park. And honestly all this talk about the parks being empty just makes me relieved because waiting in lines all day was my biggest concern for our trip

Disney will not give up on it's DEI and sexual revolution until the people at the top are close to bankruptcy. By that time it will be too late and Disney will go under.
Why am I not surprised by this? I'd rather spend my time in a national park.

I just watched a video where a family of five (they fit the DEI demographic) says they spent $3700 on one day at Hollywood Studios and even with G+ only rode one ride in Toy Story Land and one in Galaxy Edge (Im assuming they rode rides elsewhere in the park) because wait times were so high. Now they overspent (splurged like crazy) and that's on them, but they said wait times were 120 minutes in Galaxy Edge for both rides 😨. They also included the cost of three hotel nights in that large number.
The parks always struggle when the economy is struggling. People have finally finished their Covid revenge travel. Universal numbers are down too. I believe people are saving and waiting for Epic next year. We're excited for tyat opening.
Finally, here's hoping September numbers are down too cause that's when we're visiting. 😂
Just name any industry . Once liberals take over it’s all down hill from there . Disney will be a shell of its past in the future
