  1. Those skellies are awesome! I'm a fair recent WarHammer fan and player and never got to play the Old World but those models are really cool looking and all the more classic fantasy vibe really is more interesting to me than the whole Age of Sigmar thing tho. Also the idea of the undead armies to be "endless" under the logic of the numbers of dead people should be greater than of the living because you keep adding through time, kinda loses its meaning when you realize that in the modern world, there are more living people today than people have lived through most human story. It is just mindboogling!

  2. This was and is my favorite 'old world' army. Got several thousands points of them and will expand them again.

I so wished that GW would bring out this fantastic scenary as well. It looks gorgious. Just look at them temples and statues… Me wants, by Nagash, I need them, so do my Tomb King armies.

Imagine a big box with nothing but your factions scenary… at a modest price with a sand-desert/stone-desert theme playmat to go with it. All with an oasis to lure in mortals…

  3. The Tomb Kings being classified as "Evil" is something the Great King of Nehekera will not stand for.

    Send forth the Legions!

  4. Look the Undead but hate Tomb Kings with a passion and not a big fan of the Vampire Counts either. Just some plain old Undead raised by a Necromancer and none of this "Surfing Undead".

  5. Found my 20 odd year old brothers Tomb Kings army in the loft yesterday, brings back lots of memories he even has a Bone Giant, gonna restore his models to go with the new Tomb Kings box set, I was more into collecting the LOTR at the time but there was to much to collect and paint, glad Warhammer are giving us and new fans the opportunity to invest in classic fantasy again.

  6. "Hail to the mighty Tomb Guard who stand before me, you who stand before me, you who will stand watch over me for all eternity. For I, Settra, Lord and first priest king of Khemri, will awaken to command you in the paradise that awaits us. Hail to the Ushabti and Sphinx who stand sentinel beside the monuments of the king. Hail to the commanders of my army, leading forth your regiments to join me in eternity. Hail to the warriors of my legions; make ready your weapons to fill the air with the sound of your worship. Your standards are pleasing to my sight and that of the gods. See how the light of Phtra shines upon them. Remember them gleaming this day, as you enter the darkness of the tomb. Fear not what we must do, for we are the glory of Khemri and we shall rise again to fulfill our manifest destiny of ruling this world. There are great deeds that remain undone, enemies yet to conquer and raptures yet to rejoice in. So, as it is written, so shall it be done. I, Settra, have proclaimed it — let none dare oppose my will! "

  7. 40 years ago at the age of 17 I bought my first Warhammer miniatures to paint and soon after I was hooked. Over the next 11 years I accumulated every faction, apart from Skaven. With a circle of good friends who included GW staff in Birmingham, I looked froward to store lock-ins to play the game and then off to teh pub after.. Alas I had to give up the hobby as I had already been married some 4 years and money was an issue. The only figure I have left from back then is my Dwarf Throne of Power. So the anticipation of Old Warhammer coming out is wonderful, although the friend base is no longer there to play it with. I am hoping to get my hands on many of the old miniatures, especially the Dwarves. 👍👍😉

  8. I love the Tomb Kings. I was genuinely sad when I found out they hadn't made it into AoS, so seeing them return is really cool.

  9. Settra does not serve, but all must serve Settra. Down with the false kings of the north – BOW BEFORE THE IMPERISHABLE!

  10. Box sets should include limited edition model, like a bsb. Then I’d buy both box sets even though they are not my main armies. As it is I will await the other factions and buy the books for now. Thank you for bringing the old word back

  11. i kinda love the look of the older generation of Warhamemr figures, the modern Figures are awesome but some are kind of cluttered and have almost too much detail. Almost a joy to see the bland skellis again
