Matthew Fox was originally supposed to be a major character in the film! World War Z was so packed with rewrites and re-edits that it’s hard to believe they finished the film at all. In one of the most infamous cases, Matthew Fox’s role in the film was originally much larger than it ended up being in the final cut. He was set up as a villain for World War Z 2, but by the time they were done with editing, his part had been reduced to only five lines of dialogue.

I was wondering about this when I first saw this movie… interesting.
The plane scene was one of the saddest. I feel bad for the dog more than everyone else on that plane.

World War Z was terrible. I hate to be the book guy but the epic battles and gripping stories in the book were replaced with a generic zombie flick. IMO it should have been a TV series with each episode consisting of different chapters from the book. If you haven’t read the book, there are stories like the Battle of Yonkers, the TV celebs who try to film a reality show in a zombie proof mansion, the guy in a wheelchair who serves on zombie patrols, the weeb who has to learn how to survive, the dog trainer, etc. The movie left all those out. You where cheated.
You know despite the reshoots and all with the storyline being weird. World War Z was still a pretty decent movie.

You know in World War Z the movie is awful and doesn't gave jack or shit to do with the book it's based off of. Literally the only similarity are their titles.
It makes sense since the movie is an Etch-a-Sketch of the book.
