Here on my channel, I am renovating a 250 year old stone cottage on my property in Normandy, France. By using traditional, low-waste and off-grid methods, I’m aiming to keep the charm and character of this old building, and turn it into a furnished, finished home for family whilst keeping environmental impact as low as possible. There will also be content on living in France, visiting beautiful rural places, hunting for antiques, gardening and more! Hit subscribe if you would like to keep up with my journey, and hit the notification bell to be alerted when we go LIVE where we have a first viewing of the video as it is published with a live chat so I can answer all your questions! See you in Sean’s World.

  1. Yes winter is upon us….. it was minus 22 C when we got up this morning and we are expecting between 15 and 20 cms of snow with about minus 28 C later this week. Take care from Canada

  2. Good idea Sean, I follow a couple of other channels that have more than one, channel ,I think they all work well. I'll watch both of yours as I enjoy your varied content. All the best.❤

  3. I am the opposite, I enjoy anything you do on your property especially gardening and renovations and not much in the antiquing but looking at houses around there is OK.

  4. Hi Sean, sure will follow you on the other one…. Love the title…. Looking forward to watching it. Cheers Trish NZ

  5. Wow Sean, that looked like a LOT of work sanding down those posts. I thought I recognized the (earliest forms of 'mass cutting) manufacture saw marks. Perhaps you could use the sander in the directions of the dark lines, in order to help it look more natural. Apologies. I've been looking at saws all day.

  6. I barely have time to watch this channel so I for sure don’t have time to watch another one but good luck to you.

  7. Sean, Thank you so much for taking the time to do these videos. I do so much enjoy watching you working on your projects and seeing your trips out and also seeing your wonderful family and the kittens. God bless !

  8. Good morning, just a thought; when editing video of noisy power tools, eg sander, grinder, etc, is it possible to edit the volume markedly lower? The effect would be to hear the tools but not be jarring. I'm constantly hitting the mute on and off. Thank you.

  9. Sean, love seeing the renovations/improvements, the gardening and helping the wildlife is right up my alley! PS: I would advise you start brocanting for some type of original container for the herb garden🤭

  10. All ready subscribed. While you were talking I did it. I like to go with you to visit and see flea markets. That’s what we call them. Houses and Chateaus are interesting too. And then when your wife goes one way and you another, I just laugh. My husband and I did the same thing. Cottage is coming along. Can’t wait for the next video.

  11. You’ve done so much asking for advice. Time to crack on & quit worrying about what others think they want. Like the 2 channel idea. You’ve got a gold mine of ideas in your renovation that very few can do. Have confidence in your expertise it’s priceless.

  12. I started watching The Pethernicks because of you. You explained things in a way that I could understand and actually implement (your wife probably raised you right, as we say in the South here in the USA.) I truly hated to see you leave but followed you to SeansWorld where your projects were more on par with what I would use. You show glimpses of your kindness and love for family in things like caring for kittys or taking a moment to appreciate the beauty of nature. We need examples like this, little reminders of what is important. Thank you and your wife for being such lovely people.

  14. Love the little cooper lamp. It will look great in the cottage. And being female- I love to watch the renovation work.😊

  15. Please don’t divide your time between two channels. I think you’ll lose views.
Also don’t polish that light. It looks perfect with tarnish!

  16. I like the renovation channel the most but enjoy your shopping and places you take us of some historical significance. So it could be a challenge to keep up with it all but I'll manage 😊

  17. Veel succes en plezier met je tweede kanaal.Ik kijk dit juist om de renovatie van een oud huis met alle voorkomende klussen die daarbij horen. Ik ben geen reiziger en dat tweede kanaal is fijn voor mij.

  18. Thanks for the new channel, Sean. We wouldn’t hardly know anything about your beautiful part of the world if you didn’t show it to us. I was fine mixing it all together, and I am fine dividing it up. So long as you and Sam are happy and not stressed with production, anything works for my viewing. Crack on! 👏🏼👏🏼👍
