Captain America Brave New World – February 14, 2025: Anthony Mackie returns as the high-flying hero Sam Wilson, who’s officially taken up the mantle of Captain America. After meeting with newly elected U.S. President Thaddeus Ross, Sam finds himself in the middle of an international incident. He must discover the reason behind a nefarious global plot before the true mastermind has the entire world seeing red.

It's crazy how much difference a moustache can make
I'm really looking forward to this. Unlike some other people, I actually haven't been feeling burnt out from Marvel content, so I've still got a lot of enthusiasm for the next movie. Of course, there's still a chance I may not like it, for whatever reason, but I try to go in with no expectations so that I'm pleasantly surprised by whatever the film does.
That said… Harrison Ford? Giancarlo Esposito? And Anthony Mackie FINALLY getting the lead role in a Marvel film? Hell yeah. I liked The Falcon And The Winter Soldier (even though the ending did feel a bit moderate for my liking) so I'm really liking the look of this.

If we get another movie like Captain America Winter Soldier, I'll be so happy. As far as solo movies in the MCU, that one and Black Panther are my favorites 😊
I cannot keep seeing every Marvel movie like I did before Endgame and the Pandemic. If I were American I would go see this in theatres though. But I am not. I am Canadian. And it should not be my problem to play this calculus of "I have to see this movie in theatre to prove that people will watch a Black Captain America." . I hope it does fine. The trailer looks good, and I want to see it – on Disney+ .

I like the tone they tried to set with this trailer – it's looking very Winter Soldier, which I'm down for. Give us an equivalent of Andor in the MCU. Anyway, looking forward to this.
No one should have a problem with Sam Wilson being Captain America for one simple reason.
It happened in the comics.
Just so people know, the Winter soldier also had extensive reshoots, entire scenes and shots which were not in the movie.

The trailer convinced me to give this movie a chance.
I just wish Bucky was in this. They did a 6 episode miniseries establishing Sam and Bucky as a team, to the point that Bucky is basically part of Sam's family in the last episode. Not sure whose idea ot was to split them up, but it's boneheaded. Mackie and Stan's chemistry is great. Oh well.
Andre, the new Falcon played by the latino actor is in his suit in the trailer. It's just near the end after that "You're Not Steve Rogers" line. Do a breakdown and you'll see him.
Honestly, as someone who still believes Winter Soldier isn one of the best Marvel Movies, and an excellent film in it's own right… I'm as excited for this as any Steve Rogers films. I love the Sam Wilson character and I think Anthony Mackie can do this!
Han Solo took that super soldier stuff and now he's getting stiffed by Gustavo Fring because he couldn't get any fried chicken.

What’s really crazy is realizing by the time this drops, it will have been almost a decade since the last Captain America movie (Civil War)

I really liked this trailer. The Winter Soldier is my SHIT. So I’m glad this looks to be going in that same direction. BUT. It looks like a Disney+ show to me. Nothing about this trailer felt truly cinematic or large in scope or scale.
Andre is surprised about Marvel breaks after Hollywood went on strike last year.
What white people have a problem with this? Sam eventually becoming Captain America is in line with the comics. The only changes that usually get complaints are ones that are not comic-book-accurate. Wanting comic book accuracy is not the same as discriminating people. Ryan Reynolds has been trying to keep the Deadpool movies accurate to the comics and that's been working. The first Deadpool movie is still one of the best comic book movies.

Anthony Mackie has the earnestness of a Steve Rogers and it works.

Im a huge Captain America fan boy, regardless of who wields the shielld, so i was always gonna be hyped for this film.

4:59 It is funny that the closed caption told me who this is, "Samuel Sterns". And it's a lot more interesting to me than the Red Hulk being the bad guy in a Captain America movie.
Though it is a very similar vibe…
Im gonna hate this if this whole movie is basically "Eff the fans that cant take a black captain America."
Because they are gonna sue that as a shield from any kind of legitimate criticism.
Im still mad that Buckey isn't Captian America, Buckey had known Cap longer and Buckey because Captain America in the comics BEFORE Sam Wilson ever did.
Also…why haven't they given Sam the super soldier serum yet? because at this point he doesn't have the strength speed, or the power to the same degree as Steve…so what the point because now he is just a less powerful Captain America
